Sneak Peeks for next week’s episode Sun Down. It seems to be Sayid-centric, which is surprising considering the name is Sun Down. I’m still hoping for a Sun/Jin reunion finally.
Sayid goes to visit Dogan for some answers. Is he Good or is he Evil.
Sayid also goes to see Nadia.
Popularity: 4% [?]
OK. It looks like we are going to get some answers, and the whole thing will be coming together. It is about bloody well time.
Thanks for posting, Scott.
I haven’t watched the videos yet but to me Sundown sounds like the start of a fight (you know the old movies were they meet at sun down for a shoot out or something in the westerns).
Or it could mean that is when Sayid’s infection will take over sort of like a vampire or zombie (although he told Hurley he wasn’t a Zombie lol).
Or mabye a combination of both.
My local news had a tease last night about the possibility of vampires coming to the island. I think you might be on to something, Jones. Also, I posted last week that Claire was gonna find out Kate had Aaron and kill her. If Jin had kept his mouth shut, we all would’ve gotten our wish.
Remember when Jack’s son (David) was listening to music?…
Jack asked him “what are you listening to?” and David says “you haven’t heard of them”…..
wonder if he was listening to Drive Shaft?!! haha
just a thought……
^^thats what i thought also, but im sure the kid was prepping for his performance.
I am still digesting ”the lighthouse”, so i guess its too soon for me to talk about the next one…
Hey guys sorry to have been MIA the last week. I did read all your post.
Jason- I had the same thought in the lighthouse about the reflection being where Jin and Sun got married. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME…. (sob) Kidding.
I liked the lighthouse and Hurley was funny “maybe we weren’t looking for it”.
Claire was a little far fetched and I did catch when Locke came in and Jin said Locke and Claire said no it’s my friend. That kind of kills my theory that Christian was the smoke monster because she knew the difference when she talked about her dad.
Adam- Good thoughts on the biblical meanings with the names. David did kill Goliath and was the king of Israel. The also was a shepherd by trade.
Totallylost- good day dear, I have to admit I was wrong. I believe that the boy in the substitute was indeed a younger Jacob. I re-watched the episode and the clothes he was wearing was very similar to Richard Alpert when we first saw him in the jungle with long hair.
Jones- on the appendix it seemed that Jack didn’t remember until he called his mom and she explained it to him so maybe time is correcting what happened on the island?
Sorry for the long post did anyone catch on the second clip that Nadia had a marriage ring on. Sayid is acting like it’s the first time they have seen each other in a while. Maybe her husband kills him and Dogan kills him on the island? Just a thought.
I was happy to see Jacob though and I believe like Jonathan that they have come too far on Jacob being good to have him be evil now. But I’ve been wrong before. Doesn’t it seem that poor Hurley is the gullible one that falls for everything. I didn’t catch that Locke’s boss was also Hurley’s boss at the chicken shack.
Sorry one last thought I was going back and looking at Jacob and I thought of why there is only one Kwon on the list. Jacob touched them both at the same time. It may not mean anything but I thought I’d throw it out there.
Last one check this out.

if there are vampires in this show i will be disappointed. i dont thnk there is, they have to be kidding. vampires are the “in” thing right now in movies and tv…..these guys would never do that.
i would like to believe that they are being tongue in cheek like they were when they talked about the numbers and the last word.
Maybe this is all a lead in to a cross over between vampire diaries and Lost for Boones character lol (very much kidding as that would be horrible).
I took it as tongue and cheek as well. Has anyone noticed the episode titles to some of the upcoming episodes?
I think we are going to get a flash sideways from most of the major characters before it all comes together.
Ben, Sun/Jin, Richard, Hurley, Sawyer and Sayid.
Sayid is next weeks episode so I believe we will see where his loyalties lie. Right now they are playing it 50/50 on most things I’ve read but I think he will end up being bad even if he is presented as good in this episode. They also say that Claire sends a warning to the temple people. She is a bad guy.
Sorry for all the Posts – - –
The title of Richard Alperts episode (I can’t wait for this episode) it Ab Aeterno. In Latin that means from the beginning of time or from a very long time ago. Fitting I suppose.
adam- I believe that we are going to find that Richard Alpert was on the black rock I personally believe he was a slave (Locke’s comments on not seeing him without the chains)
Although how could they all be on the island and MIB not see him unless he was bound in the cabin by the ash until someone broke the circle and released him. Remember the man in the chair looked like Locke.

Adam – Re: your theory in the last thread for lighthouse – I am totally with you on the premise of it being an ‘of the mind’ creation / an autistic view point, or at leat some kind of virtual experience. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Hurley was the prime ‘candidate’ for spurning this (think spanish comic book on original 815 flight with polar bears, etc. his overt christian religious background, his psychiatriac tendencies…). l He’s pretty centric to many things.
Interestingly, when we were all watching season 1 and wondering where this was going to lead to… there was that fabulous ‘Hurley centric’ episode that made us feel he was imagining everything from Santa Rosa… do ya think?
Evening all,
BIG delay in getting to watch The Lighthouse (episode 108, awesome), I have to say I found this episode kinda creepy. I don’t know if it was Crazy Claire and her axe (s)kills or Jacob sitting on Hurley’s shoulder telling him to do stuff, or the fact that the lighthouse is just a giant perving device… I dunno something felt wrong. But in a good way.
I liked the fact that Kate “Kinda isn’t invited” to the lighthouse, what with all the speculation on whether she’s a candidate and if she isn’t what the hell’s she doing there. Maybe she’ll get axed soon. Wokka wokka.
Someone was saying earlier that Christian Shepherd and Flocke can’t be one and the same because Claire can distinguish between the two of them. I beg to differ. Claire is clearly batshit insane and has been for some time, and I don’t think anything she says should necessarily be believed.
One other thing, and it’s been something I’ve always kicked around in the back of my mind when watching Lost, even from the start, is the whole Good vs Bad thing. What if it’s more complicated than that? I’ve often wondered if Lost is just a great big allegory for the split between the Democrats and the Republicans in the US.
Waaaay back at the start I thought perhaps John represented the Republicans, with his devout faith and his anti-authoritarian stance, while Jack was the Liberal; scientific, wishy washy and with a big emphasis on living together, rather than dying alone. As time went on and things got more and more wack-job this idea fizzled out, but ever since the relationship between Jacob and MiB became crystalized in last season’s finale I’ve found myself coming back to it again.
Two powerful forces, fighting over the leadership of a sacred land, and doing so by manipulating and lying their way into the hearts and minds of the people who live there? A land that would be paradise if it wasn’t for these two powers which seem to have the whole place divided in two? Only one can rule at a time, while the other has no real power except to make a lot of noise and scare people?
Sound familiar?
Richard 7769- Thanks for the link to the Damon and Carlton link. I also agree with you about Richard’s origin’s, and that he possibly has some connection to the black rock. That whole black rock theory is leading me back to MIB being Magnus Hanso, and Jacob is his great grandson Alvar Hanso, who started the Dharama initiative. One protects the island secrets, and the other likes progress.
Adam,Adam, Adam!!! When I looked at the link from Richard7769, all I see is total shiftiness from those guys. They cannot say anything with a straight face, and are reveling in this great mystery that they have created, and the power they have over us. I’ll be dammed if I am going to let those guys totally con, rip off, scam, bamboozle, or hoodwink me like they did with “dead is dead.” I am still reeling from that. I know, pathetic, but Hell no I will not go!!!!!
But, I digress. Now in that video they said that Flocke will tell everyone at the temple that if they want to live they had to be out of the temple by Sundown. What kind of bad guy gives you a warning before he get’s you???? Maybe Scoppie is right. Neither is all good or all bad, but a combo. Also, they said the same thing about Sayid “is he good or bad.” Oy vey. We better get some answers!!!!
Last, I don’t want to forget about jack’s grandpa’s shoes, and how Ellie insisted that they go back to the island on John. They went through too much to make a point about that and not follow up on it There has to be something there.
One more thing. Scoppie- Thanks for the laugh on calling the lighthouse mechanism a giant perving devise.
I saw this tonight. It is translations of everything Dogan has said so far. Pretty interesting.
http://darkufo.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-did-dogen-say.html
Jonathan- have you had a chance to digest all of the lighthouse yet? I’m looking for some feedback from you. A little insight so to speak.
Sorry for the second post where is Jason at?
t-lost
well i look forward to telling i told you so….
hahaha
Adam–Bring it on!!! If you are right, I will be the first one to fall on my sword!!!!
Hello everyone, first time post.
I hope this hasn’t Bren posted already but it most likely has.
I wa watching the season 5 Finale and something struck me.
What if Jacob and MIB are both Aaron. MIB being the Aaron
raised by Kate, and Jacob being raised by Clair.
Just a thought. I love everybody’s posts by the way.
TL
“What kind of bad guy gives you a warning before he get’s you???? ”
The kind that wants to make his life easier by getting rid of as many obstacles as he can up front. Less people in the temple means quicker and easier to his goal.
Either way (or even neither way) nobody really knows and it is fun to try to guess.
Anyone else notice that in the alt timeline Jack found the key to his sons and mothers house under a statue of a rabit. Much like when Miles found it in an earlier episode.
So who from the losties is still left in the temple, just Sayid and Miles I think, if so then Miles is going to die very soon. I thought it was going to be last week but maybe it will be this week.
Just as a side note: my number is 233 but I am crossed out haha.
Hi guys – minor observation:
One thing we HAVE learned about Dogan from The Lighthouse – he ain’t no immortal, a la Richard Alpert. If he’s the same age in Jack’s alternate reality that means he’s been off island for years, possibly he never even went there at all (pre-bomb) and must have aged naturally.
Unless of course you don’t need the island to exist in order for the non-aging to take effect. It would be fascinating to see what’s happened to Richard, Widmore and Ellie in the alternate reality. Did any of them survive the blast? Will Richard have aged now the island’s gone? How will they react bumping into Jack, Kate, Sawyer, or any of the other people who blew up the island thirty years previously leading blissfully ignorant lives in 2004 having not aged a day?
My head hurts again.
Heyy guys ! what about the scarve of jacks operation?? that was veryyyyyy weird!! why he is asking nowwww? maybe they have been in the island and the world now is adapting to them making believe that they were never in the islandd!
Great Richard, i’ve posted my thoughts about the episode Lighthouse on the ”Lighthouse” post…But i am still thinking about it…
I never watch previews of episodes, thats why i have nothing to say about ”Sundown”…
Thanks to remember me.
I gotta say something thats been bothering me…
I really didnt like this paralel reality!!
Why?
Simple..i dont give a damn about this ”new” version of the characters we used to know! Why? I just met them !
I know nothing about them and i dont want to!
I do care about the story of the carachters in wich i invested my time over the past five years…The Jack i’ve known , or Locke and everyone i followed all these time!
I know that they are the same characters, but they dont seem the same for me…
New Jack has a son? Who cares? He met Dogan? So what?
Sorry for this post, i didnt mean to be rude…
Jonathan. I agree with you. Who cares. We have been invested in the characters as already developed, and I fail to see the necessity of the seeing the “otherness” of them when there are only 13 episodes to go. Let’s stick to the island stuff. There are too many unanswered questions to be adding more stuff that only raises more questions.
You are not being rude my friend!!!!
Why can’t we assume that smokey is both Flocke and Christian? Have we seen them in the same room together yet? Flocke has only been running around the island for what, a few weeks? Maybe Claire has been kicking it with her “Dad” the last few years, and now Flocke has showed up and befriended her.
Jonathan, thank you for saying something. The alternate reality is just a waste of our time.
Claire referred to the characters separately. so that tells me they are different people.
Jonathan -
What I don’t like is that the writers said before the season started that there were no more flash forwards and flashbacks. These flash sideways are in the same realm so I think it was bullshit to lead us into believing we were just going to be dealing with the present.
Claire was branded in the temple like Sayid, right? She had a scar on her arm or shoulder.
Sayid was branded in the exact spot where he got shot, right?
So, does it mean Claire was wounded or shot too in the shoulder where she got branded? If so, how?
This reminded me of something not explained so far…the shooting of the outrigger canoes…Juliet shot someone that day…
…could it be related? Could it be Claire in the canoe, maybe even with her ”friend”?
It would be weird, since the real Locke was in the canoe with Sawyer e co.-remember they were timetraveling – .
I presume that the outrigger canoes shooting was in 2007…probably Claire was abducted by the others to the temple and branded before that year , because her scar seems old…so my previous thoughts in the last post should be wrong…and she wasnt shot in that pursuit in 2007…anyway…the mistery of the canoes shooting still stands…
Jonathan good call on the flash sideways. I could give a rats ass about it also.
What did you think about my thought on the second video with Sayid that Nadia looks to be married?
Also it’s time for Miles/Kate to die. Either one and where the hell is Desmond? Remember the island isn’t finished with him yet.
Basically what I get from the first clip is that the infection Dogen has been talking about is a darkening of the soul. in other words, not really a disease but someone turning evil. Once someone gets “infected” they are evil. Take Claire. “It has already happened to your sister” she has already become evil, which is why she killed a dude with an axe. Not something the good ole’ season 1 Claire would ever have done. Apparently they think Sayid is on his way to becoming evil as well and want to kill him.
miles might die soon but kate is lasting a lot longer for sure. i dont think any major characters will die until the last few episodes.
flocke is a bad guy!
hahaha
Yeah, the side-flashes aren’t as gripping as perhaps they could be right now, but I’d bet my Akira collection the writers are getting ready to sucker punch us with an “Oh SHHHIIIT!!!” moment that makes them all make sense. If Lost has taught me anything, it’s to have faith and patience.
Richard, i’m sorry, but i didnt watch the previews…i never like to…even when i go to the movies, and there’s a trailer of a film i think i might like, i dont watch it…
So i cant say anthing about Nadia…
Cheers.
Jonathan- you have very good self restraint not to watch the trailers. I almost took time off from work flew down to Hawaii stalked every member and found out the ending. Not that I’m obsessed.
Flocke is a bad guy.
Adam (re:Post-33)
I get what you’re saying, but how do we know Claire has been in the same room with both of them? We’ve seen how Flocke turned into Alex and back before Ben could notice anything. So, why couldn’t it happen to Batshit Claire? I just don’t think we can assume they are different beings until proven otherwise.
im not saying im assuming it. im saying thats what i think after that scene. she mentions them as different people. and llana already said flocke cant turn into anybody he can only be in lockes body. just adding all together id say they are different. i could be wrong tho
locke is a bad guy…
Agree to disagree…
fair enough
flocke is a bad guy…
Adam, Richard7769, it remains to be see who is bad and good!!!!
Scoppie- Re post 39. I agree with you. The writers have something big planned for us, and we we will all be saying
WTF, Oh *hit, holy cow, etc, etc. We’ve come this far by faith, so let’s keep going.
And, Jacob is the bad guy!!!
Richard post#41 = haha, if you are going to stalk them, pls tell us what you got. i am still laughing when imaging that..
oh yeah and about the episode, i just watched it, i hadn´t time before…..it was an interesting as a boring one, but good stuff! i won´t say more cause you guys spoke about everything what was worth to talk about…and im too tired to think about (i just drove 8 hours with the car, ahhhhhhh)…..see you all another day..
CPL- so far I just have Sun’s sweaty shirt. I’m content.
T L- come on now we all know good guys wear white…… You could be right remember MIB said when the Black Rock appeared that it was because Jacob had lead them there. Maybe he likes to provoke people to show their inner self?
Then again good guys wear white. Therefore Jacob is good.
I read an interesting theory that both Jacob and MIB have the same goal–to go home. They are just using two different ways to accomplish it. MIB is using a little more force and meanness (or so it seems) and thus appears bad, while Jacob is more subtle in using silent mystical manipulation techniques, and thus appears good.
Richard7769- As for good guys always wearing white, what about Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon?? He always wore black except when he killed (or massacred) O’hura!!!!
DO NOT BE FOOLED. So who’s good and who is bad???? Only Lost knows!!! Can’t wait for Tuesday to get here.
But, like I said to Adam earlier. If I am wrong, I will be the first one to fall on my sword.
Karen, where are you?????
MIB is maybe not bad at all, i am thinking he was in a way banished in a sort of life sentence on the island, whatever the reason was i believe it will be answered at the latest in the richard centric episode called “Ab Aeterno”! I hope we´ll see then also how Jacob fits into the good versus evil thing.
That MiB is warning the people at the temple have not to mean that he is good, quite the opposite, less people means less work to do for him, so he can enter the temple and take what he needs. Apropos what does MiB is doing in the tmeple, could it be he´s searching for something he need to escape from the island? I am clueless..
So Jacob have to be the good one ohterwise the temple others wouldn´t have taken Hurley & Co into protection, and our losties playing def the good ones in the story!
MiB bad, Jacob good..
well im just busting chops with TL. it does remain to be seen if they are bad, good, both bad or both good. i like the theory they are both trying to go home and using different means. that could be cool.
i def think no matter what the outcome, that we will all be blown away.
flocke is a bad guy…
CPL–Jones said the same thing as you: that Flocke warned the people at the temple to get out so it would be less work for him.
Well, my first thought was that he was the smoke monster so what kind of help did he need?? Just whip up the smoke and kick ass. Their guns are useless, and although an ash ring works, we know that he could throw an item at the person in the ash and knock em’ right out of it. Just like he did with big-headed Bram in the statute.
Then I remembered Keammy’s men after they killed Alex. Smokey only managed to mangle one of them. How pathetic is that?? What kind of smoke monster cannot kill 5 highly trained commando’s in one fell swoop. Sigh…. Maybe you and Jones are right. Smokey isn’t all that!!!
Adam-I am right with ya buddy . . . Jacob is the bad guy!!!!
I was rewatching “The Lighthouse”. Did anyones notice Claire telling Jin that she needed to clean his wound, because, “If it’s one that’ll kill you around here, it’s infection”. It makes me wonder if she was talking about actual infection, or is it a reference to the “infection”. I don’t really know what to make of it. Anyone have any ideas?
Here’s my thought. Maybe this is it finally the beginning of the end. Smokey is saying “allright guys you’re either with me or against me. Whomever is in the temple lives whomever is on the outside is now the hunted.
This could be the make or break episode we’ve been waiting for. As for Jack and Hurley Jacob could have let them wonder off to escape the wrath of ole smokey. Again Jacob is good.
Speaking of good. Good night check on you guys tomorrrow. Please turn off the lights on your way up.
good call krbultz.
flocke is a bad guy…
Hi all! I’m a first time poster but have been Lost-obsessed from the beginning. All of your comments and theories are so creative! I’m loving it! My boyfriend doesn’t watch so I’m kind of alone in my obsessing and theorizing. Upon reading all of your thoughts, a few of my own have formulated:
1.) What does Locke say in season 1 about backgammon when playing with Walt? I specifically remember him holding a white piece in one hand and a black one in the other. He said, “Backgammon is the oldest game in the world.” He then says that backgammon boards were found thousands of years ago, even before the days of Jesus Christ. Then he says, “Two players, two sides, one is light, one is dark.” Note that he never says one is good, one is bad – just light and dark. lol! Just thought it would be an interesting addition to the Jacob/good MIB/bad conversation.
2.) In response to the comment about why the MIB doesn’t just become the smoke monster and kill everyone at the temple – I think that’s the whole point behind the temple. I think that’s the one place he cannot enter for whatever reason – it’s sacred and stuff, as Hurley might say.
3.) I think a major theme of this series has to do with the motivations behind actions. Kate may have killed her mother’s boyfriend but he was a bad guy; Sawyer may have killed an innocent man but he had a rough past; Michael may have betrayed his friends but only for the sake of his son; Ben may have killed many but he was rejected by his father. When I think in those terms, I think that whether Jacob/MIB are good or bad will be left up to us. Their actions will make sense based on their motivations whether we see them as morally correct or not.
4.) I wonder about the water at the temple – perhaps that has something to do with the MIB wanting to go there? Did you notice that the temple folks were first shocked when the water didn’t heal Sayid . . . until they were informed that Jacob was dead. Then they weren’t really surprised it didn’t work. Then when Sayid DID wake up, they were surprised all over again and trying to poison him . . . perhaps knowing there was only one other force that could cause that to happen and if Jacob were dead, then only one other could be responsible. Only thing is – I’m a little bad with time lines here: what would have had Jacob tied up around the time Claire was in need of healing? Curiouser and curiouser.
5.) Kate sees Hurley and Jack in the forest and says, “I hope you find what you’re looking for, Jack.” Intriguing, no?
6.) And yes, I think by now we can assume that Claire’s statement referred to more than just a physical infection.
7.) Lastly, I must say that Michael Emmerson said he was “shocked” to find out the Lost series finale. If HE’S shocked, I have to imagine our assumptions will pale in comparison to the real thing – which makes me immensely happy! lol!
Oh, one more thing: I think “Sun Down” may have duel meaning. We’re led to believe the majority of the episode will have to do with Sayid, but Lost episodes always end with a crazy twist having little to do with the flashbacks/forwards/sides.
And expanding on my thought of Locke’s talk of light and dark, I think perhaps it is more black and white, no pun intended. I mean, if it didn’t mean something, he would have just said “two sides, white and black” but he specifically said light and dark which would refer to the light/good side and the dark, evil side (darkness of soul). But is the haircolor or color of the clothes worn by MIB & Jacob really indicative of what lies beneath?
Jude770- Very good insights!!! Yes, I remember Locke’s speech about light and darkness. Also, maybe Flocke needs the water to be healed.
Also, dump the boyfriend simply because he does not watch Lost. That is unforgivable!!!! (Just kidding!!)
Totallylost, Yeah, I like the idea of the MIB needed the water to be healed! To expand further, maybe the water was useless in healing him as long as Jacob was alive – now that he’s dead, the water will heal him (fill him with the darkness that filled Claire and threatens to fill Sayid?). And maybe the temple is still protected from his smoke monster form which is why he gives everyone the chance to flee – in order to, as others mentioned, make it easier on himself to get what he needs.
And yes, I agree my boyfriend is slightly imperfect for not watching Lost! lol! But everytime he sits down to watch it with me, I tell him “no! It’ll ruin it! You have to see it from the beginning!” lol! So I might be a bit at fault : )
Jude77- OK– keep the guy!!!
I think you might be the first one to suggest that the goal of flocke at the temple is to get to the water. I mean, what else could possibly be in the temple that makes it so important?? I guess that once Jacob died, the rule of killing others no longer applies, so now flock wants in, and all others have to go.
Now that brings up another point. If the ash keeps MIB out, how does he get in? I mean he has to know that they will ring the place with ash. Well, given that I think that flock and smokey are one in the same, but MIB is someone else, MIB is using flocke (with Claire and Sawyer) to get in, clear out the garbage, and then he will come marching in to “go home”
Can’t wait for some answers . . .
Totallylost, mind-boggling, isn’t it? lol! My thought is the ash only works against MIB when he’s the smoke monster – but that’s just a thought. I’m reminded of how nobody bothered with the ash until they saw the smoke monster himself, not the MIB as Flocke – perhaps as Flocke he’s immune? Another possibility could be, as you touched on, that he’s going to use Sawyer or Claire or both to actually get into the temple and get him what he needs.
I’m excited for some answers, too! There are, afterall, only 13 episodes left including this upcoming one. They’re going to have to get started closing these holes pretty soon or they’ll end up with one of those shows that leaves a bunch of unended stories . . . and I hate that. I mean, Walt was supposed to be important at one point, wasn’t he? And wasn’t the island “not done with” Desmond? And neither are even back in the picture yet!
I have faith but I’m getting nervous! I don’t want to be let down!
Its been said for an important source that the island can be described by a four letter word without ”a” and ”e”.
Jonathan:
I say Loop.
I dont he can use claire to get into the temple because they all know she is infected. he will have to use sawyer i think. maybe sayid on the inside will also help.
Jonathan….i never heard that. whatta ya think?
Welcome Jude 77!
Adam and Jones, i got that from E!Online – Kristin dos Santos. Maybe its not important though…Thats what she wrote:
”What Is the Island? That very huge question will be answered in less time than you think–somewhere around halfway through the season, according to sources. Awesome, right? And you know who’s going to help deliver the message? The fantastic, ever-youthful guyliner model Mr. Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) and his longtime friend Jacob (Mark Pellegrino). It’s gonna be good.
So…What Is the Island? It’s described as a four-letter word. There’s your first clue! Shall we play Hangman? There are no A’s or E’s in the word…Wanna buy another vowel? OK, but you only get one.
Another thing I can tell you: The Island has to exist, according to my sources, and more important, someone has to protect it. It’s important to the world outside.”
Adam, I honestly dont have any guess, i just hope its not ”ship”.
Some thoughts:
Just read that the song David was playing in his audition was the same one Faraday was playing in that episode when he was young in his house…It should not be random…
Maybe in the alttimeline Faraday is somehow related to David..piano teacher?
Jacob didnt worry to lead Miles and Sayid away from the temple, as he was with Jack and Hugo…Mile’s name is crossed out in the lighthouse and Sayid is infected..i guess Sayid is definetely bad…
Welcome Jude 77 interesting thoughts. I guess I have to jump on the bandwagon that MIB Is looking for the water. I already surmised that Sayid is bad but you never know.
I believe that Jack was being protected by Jacob because he may be his best chance of winning, or defeating MIB>
As far as Kate goes she may be the darkhorse because her name is not in the cave or on the lighthouse. Maybe she wasn’t supposed to make it? But then again Jacob touched her. Maybe she is a surprise for MIB and that’s why she’s not listed…..
jonathan i will buy an I please.
Richard, i didnt get…
Jonathan and Richard7769:
I think we have a “Hangman” and “Wheel of Fortune” mix up here lol. I’m going still going for the o for Loop though.
Also Richard Kate’s number in the Lighthouse was 51. It showed it very shortly.
Jones, loop is a good guess…but it wouldnt be so surprising…
The Great Bambino…..
I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW….GREAT THEORY!!! YOU JUST MAY BE ON TO SOMETHING…!!! I AM SURPRISED NO ONE ELSE RESPONDED…OH… AND WELCOME!
Hey everyone… I was in Baltimore ALL last week. I had to show my art up there. I missed posting!!!! I love what everyone is saying.
Me… I will stand firm… Jacob/MIB… are neither good or bad… they are selfish, and both manipulate. Aaaaannnddd they just may both go down. As I said…. MIB just wants to die.
The light house almost had way too many layers in it for me to even know where to begin…
It would be funny if we find out Nadia is Married to Ben or Dogan.
For now I am going with Ben.
Jason- I thought you got lost in the snow!!!!
We now have 4 groups of people heading towards the temple: 1. Richard (or as Jonathan said, Guyliner (lol)); 2. Sun, Ben, Illana, & Lapidus; 3. The “others” who were at the statute, but went on ahead while they buried Locke; and 4. Flocke, Claire, Jin and presumably Sawyer. Since this will be the first time in a while that the many losties, newbies, and others are in close proximity, I am expecting big things. Also, given Kate’s superior tracking skills, she will find Claire’s camp and follow her to the temple too.
We had better get some damn answers if they are going to throw a party like this!!!! I also want to see more of Ben, as he is a huge key to this whole thing.
Death watch list: I vote for Miles. It is time for him to go. He has no purpose.
By the way, are the rest of the Aljira survivors still with the plane??
Someone mentioned before (I think kbrulz) that the last scene of Lost might be Vincent sitting on the beach.
Well, wouldn’t it be wild if it was Jack and John (flocke), just like we saw MIB and Jacob sitting on the beach, clothes, red-fish and all!!!!
My mind is just racing. I always get Lost fever the day before.
- TL, i am sure things will heat up at the temple.I bet Claire will loose it there.
– Desmond has to be 108.
– If there is a Black Rock, is there a White Rock somewhere?
Hey folks. The following is a link to some screen shots to Sundown. They definitely give us some idea of what will happen in the episode.
CAN’T WAIT . . .
http://www.bscreview.com/2010/02/lost-sundown-promo-pics-6-06/
I am being strong today and not going after any spoilers lol. So thanks for the screen shots but this time I am going to pass.
Jonathan The number 108 in the lighthouse belonged to someone with the last name Wallace and it was crossed out.
Jones, i know that, but i think Wallace is Desmond…Cant think of anyone else…Wallace is a scotish name…Desmond is too…no other is so related to the number 108… and maybe Desmond should arrive again by boat…
Jonathan
I don’t think that is the case because if Desmond was number 108 then according to the name being crossed out then Desmond should be dead. I never rule anything out on this show but….
I was also one of the people that said that Jin was 100% dead after the freighter blew up so I have been known to be very wrong before.
I do think he will be drawn back to the island somehow since according to Ms Hawkings the island isn’t done with him yet.
TL I also think Miles is so dead this episode.
I like the Jack and Flocke on the beach in the final scene. That be kinda cool depending on how they did it.
Jonathan -
If that E-Online thing is accurate then I guess we would find out in Richard Alperts flash sideways which is in like 4-5 weeks. It’s the episode I’m most waiting for. I’ve been waiting for like 4 seasons on something about him. I bet it’s something real big. As far as what the word is it could be anything I won’t even try to guess at this point.
Lost might be the only show in TV history that we won’t know what the show is about until the finale. Is it good vs evil, black vs white, freedom of choice, fate, destiny, etc…???????????
It’s certainly not about the survivors of a plane crash on an island.
Flocke is a bad guy….
Maybe the 4 letter word is just simply LOST.
Bad News -
Not sure how many of you have Cablevision as your cable network but ABC/Disney is threatening to pull their network from Cablevision broadcasts unless they pay more money for the right to broadcast those channels($40 Million more). Of course Lost is on ABC so that totally blows.
It has already happened this year when The Food Network and HGTV pulled their programming for about 3 weeks while they negotiated a deal. That sucked cause I like The Food Network. Bastards!
ABC/Disney wants to pull their programming while they negotiate instead of leaving it on while they negotiate. This of course is terrible!!!
If you have Cablevision go to their website and start sending messages to ABC/Disney about how BS they are for doing it. http://www.Cablevision.com/abc
I was going to say maybe it’s
“we got all you idiots to follow this show about a dog shitting on the beach for 6 seasons”…..but it’s not a 4 letter word.
Wallace could be a Given name and the character goes by a different name. I also agree with Adam I’m really interested in the Richard Alpert one.
I went back to the episode The Constant and tried to see who was the first mate on the Black Rock on the book Widmore bought. Couldn’t see it. I think we will find out it’s Alpert.
Jones,we are not sure that all crossed out are dead: ex:Straume, Linus, Littleton.
I bet my kidney Desmond will be back. He has to be!!
Richard: i think Black Rock could have been captained by Magnus Hanso who was the great grandfather of Alvar Hansoand and it was a slave ship.
From Lostpedia:The blast door map contains the notation “known final resting place of Magnus Hanso/Black Rock,” suggesting Magnus Hanso indeed owned the Black Rock ship, and that he was likely on board when the vessel crashed on the Island.
“we got all you idiots to follow this show about a dog shitting on the beach for 6 seasons”…..but it’s not a 4 letter word.
lol! Hysterical, Adam!
Sooo, you guys are much more observant about this stuff than I am. I had no idea who was crossed out on the lighthouse wheel or what the notation on the blast door map said!
I CAN say, however, that I did recognize the Chopin number as the one Daniel was playing. It’s called Fantasie Impromptu.
Now, this might be something that’s been noticed before, but music is a pretty interesting link between some of these guys, isn’t it? Daniel and David played the same song, Ben, if you’ll recall, was seen playing Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C# minor, Jack has been shown playing (although nothing distinctual that I can remember), and of course, Charlie. AND remember when Charlie was in the swan and the woman told him the code was created by a musician?? It turned out to be the Beach Boys. Any ideas on who the musician was? It’s GOTTA be someone we already know – I don’t think they would have made such a point to convey that unless it meant something significant. With Faraday’s time-traveling knowledge, do you think it could have been him? Trippy . . . lol!
Also, the numbers are crazy – I just realized something about them: ya’ know how Hurley and Jack were supposed to set the lighthouse wheel to 108 degrees? Well, Desmond had to push that button every 108 minutes. I’m probably way behind in that realization, huh? And, of course, the sum of the “numbers” equals 108. I was kind of hoping the numbers of our crash survivor candidates would correspond do the lottery/hatch numbers, as well. And I don’t know what’s so significant about 108 but it’s clearly not coincidental.
Des… will no doubt be back…
I actually like both ideas of the final beach scene… Dog… or Locke and Jack…
Adam…. That would totally suck! they better figure S#!T OUT!…..
88Jude77….GREAT POST!!!! AND THAT IS WHY I AM STICKING WITH DESMOND BEING #108!
TL….Thank you for the link. Well we see that Sayid makes it out of the temple…. So, who else is left there? Miles right?… Well I agree he will be a gonner. My guess is Claire will take an ax to his chest(lol kidding). But really….why is Miles around anymore? And what about Lepidos…? Are when are we going to find out why he is there…ok…ok…. they suggested he is a canidate… but why? I say… let the Darma Shark have at him. (which again is my animal Richard)
Oh and I’ve got my two cents to put into the Christian/MIB/Locke thing. What if . . . Jacob was the one possessing Christian’s body? Think about it, he never did anything bad to any of the crash survivors. He led Jack to the caves where the survivors could take shelter. And when Locke goes alone to Jacob’s cabin, who’s sitting there but Christian? Yes, he said Claire was with him and “safe” but maybe she was at that moment? Maybe at that time, Jacob/Christian was her friend and then, after her soul was “darkened,” MIB befriended her?
Because, here’s the thing: if MIB was using Christian’s body than wouldn’t he already have found his “loophole” that Jacob was referring to long before Locke? Possessing a body and convincing someone to kill Jacob was the loophole, right? Well if he was Christian, than he would have been possessing a body and could have easily convinced crazy Claire to do it – i.e. “Claire, Jacob’s got your baby”
So, my guess is since not everyone can see Jacob, Jacob took Christian’s body to help guide them.
MIB saw his opportunity when Locke was wounded – he ordered Richard to tell Locke he would have to die to ensure a new dead body would be arriving there soon. And I don’t know why, but for some reason, they have to be already dead. lol! Dying on the island doesn’t seem to result in anything.
I don’t know what all of this means or what result it will have but it’s what I think up to this point. Oh, and whoever mentioned the shoes on Locke needing to be Christian’s, I think you’re absolutely right that it’s significant. As a matter of fact, I think it ties into this whole theory somehow.
Jason,
Good theory on Desmond being 108!! I’d like to see that. I love Desmond as a character and I’ve been waiting for his return! Think it’ll be tonight?
We really should have a voting option on here somewhere. Scott is that possible? I know you did some changes before and ended up reverting back but I think that would be a pretty cool idea.
Anyway can’t wait for the episode tonight and to hear all of your thoughts afterwards.
Jones – Do you mean voting up or down on comments that you like?
jonathan, on March 2nd, 2010 at 11:38 am Said: Jones,we are not sure that all crossed out are dead: ex:Straume, Linus, Littleton.
This is true. Linus and Littleton are possibly dead (like Sayid they may have died and been claimed)Ben as a kid when shot by Sayid and I think Claire died when her house was blown up by the freighter folk. As for miles he is probably dead after tonights episode lol.
More like have a question such as “Do you think Des is number 108″ or “Do you think MIB is good or bad”.
I guess what you are talking about would work if the poster formed the question so that voting up you agree voting down disagrees. Would probably be easier the way you are thinking about it too.
Jones -
I can do both pretty easily, the question would need to be put it its own post though. I couldn’t embed it within the comments of a post.
So we have these people below as who number 108 could be. Let me know if you want me to add more to the list and I’ll put the poll up.
desmond
walt
david (jacks son)
daniel farraday
I think I read these in the comments. Theres alot of comments comming in, so I may have missed some.
Scott- In honor of Adam, how about a poll of whether Jacob is good or bad, and whether Flocke is good or bad!!!!!
Scott, you should have an e.) option on the 108 thing for none of the above, as well. Just in case a few think the name “Wallace” refers to someone completely new.
By the way, does Jacob specifically refer to 108 as a “he”? Was thinking it could possibly be Faraday’s mother, too.
Jones-great point about Ben possibly being “dead” too.
I forgot about his temple adventures as a youth. Richard Alpert did say that he would not be the same again. And, the truth is he was changed from an abused shy and quiet boy to a monster. Let’s see, he became a baby-snatcher (Danielle), a master manipulator of locke (in the hatch), Michael (via walt), Sawyer (with the fake pacemaker), Kate (thinking sawyer was going to be killed so they could have sex and piss off Jack so he would operate on him), and Sayid (getting him to shoot Widmore’s men). I am probably leaving out 50 or more things. Then he became a murderer (John Locke), and an attempted murderer of Penny and Desmond. Disaster.
So, yes, bug-eyed Ben is “dead” inside.
Jacob is bad . . .
