Remember daniel saying time moved differently on the island? I think the couple of days to the losties are the 3 years to the o6 so i don't think anything to have happened in those years is due to locke.

I also think adam and eve are rose and bernard. I'd say they hid in the caves during the flashes and died. Remember they had a dice each-one white one black? Like they were of white(caucasian) and black race-i'm explaining this terribly but hope you get my drift.

moohaha - agreed. dont think the economist was locke, why would it be, he wouldn't have wanted to kill Sayid. I do not know but maybe Abbadon as you say... this is really a big mistery for me, i was hoping to know by the end of 4th season but we're still waiting for it. no way it was locke though

Jonathan, I dont think the economist could be Locke, it all seemed to well organized for Locke. What with the female spy and all. I think it is Widmore, I think we were meant to believe it is widmore, but then again, they may throw a curve ball at us and have it be someone else entirely. Maybe Abaddon, or Alvar Hanso.

It did bug me that we still dont know the identity of the employer, but im sure we will at some point. Maybe during the "Ben" episode of this season.

I watched ''The economist'' again, season 4, epis. 3. They never explained who was him, did they?

Ben told Sayid he was protecting all of them, and that these people in his list for Saiyd to kill was part of that. Who were these people?

Thats why Ben told Jack and Jin he did so many things to protect them?

Could the economist be Jeremy Bentham, i.e., John Locke?

I was watching Top Gear this morning and they talked about Faraday (as below info), i thought, i know that name!, maybe they based Daniel on him :)

*Faraday, FRS (22 September 1791 – 25 August 1867) was an English chemist and physicist (or natural philosopher, in the terminology of the time) who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.

Faraday studied the magnetic field around a conductor carrying a DC electric current, and established the basis for the magnetic field concept in physics. He discovered electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism, and laws of electrolysis. He established that magnetism could affect rays of light and that there was an underlying relationship between the two phenomena.[2][3] His inventions of electromagnetic rotary devices formed the foundation of electric motor technology, and it was largely due to his efforts that electricity became viable for use in technology.

One more thought I had...

...in the episode "this place is death" one of the members of Rouseau's team (Brennan or Lacombe) was seen carrying a guitar on his back.

Since we are never clear on how much time has elapsed from when Jin is with the group outside the Temple, to the time when he witnesses Danielle kill Robert, after killing the rest of her team. Does anyone think it at all possible that the guy with the guitar could be the same "musician" who programmed the code for the Looking Glass to deactivate the jamming signal.

I realize I may be reaching here, (which I normally try not to do) because this character was killed off and was mostly insignificant, but my first reaction to seeing him with the guitar was that this could possibly be the "musician" who programmed the code. But now that he is dead, who knows.

I just wanted to see if anyone else possibly thought about that too, and if we will ever discover the identity of the mysterious, code programming musician?

Totallylost - at this point, I definitley agree with Bernard and Rose being Adam and Eve. They havent been around for a while, and they are not surviving on their own. They will be put to some sort of "peaceful rest" by the writers. No Smoke monster death for them.

Also, I cant remember who said it, but Kate may very well be pregnant with Jackie Jr. Its likely that the writers insinuated that they had sex so they can later come back and drop the "kate, your pregnant" bomb on us when she returns to the island. Only to further the whole love triangle between her, jack and sawyer.

Jared,

I remember that, i dont know why there was any speculation as to whether or not Locke saw Kate, because as you stated, she said it in the season 4 premiere. Enough said!

I hope I am not beating a dead horse, but I have some thoughts about Daniel.

I think it is a safe assumption, based upon what Jin was wearing when he saw Hurley, kate and jack, that the last flash put them back in the 70's or so when Dharma was on the island. The retro VW van further supports this. I think we can also assume that the rest (Saywer, Miles, Julietee, Daniel) will assimiliate themselves into the Dharma project to figure out what is going on. Well, suppose that as part of that process Daniel is in the Orchard (as we saw with Chang/Candle/Halowax or whatever his name is) trying to get to the source of time travel to get the losties back to the time of the plane crash. If so, maybe he really is a good guy and not shady as he sometimes appears now. Just a thought.
