Ben is using them! Why because he is wearing black…. Also, was it me or did was Ben lieing about Locke… Well almost lieing. Ben told Jack He told Locke…”I told him I was sorry I made his life so misreable. Then he left.” But when you watch the footage or remember that final episode it was BEN that left not John.
Am I reaching here or is not just me?
It may sound like reaching, but I agree. I think that the creators pay attention to those details just like us fans do, and by having Ben recall the events just slightly different to Jack, is an implication that he could be up to something, yet again.

If you don’t believe “Everything happens for a reason”, then you shouldn’t be watching this show.
The biggest and most important developments that occur on Lost took place because of things Locke did. Do you remember “The White Rabbit”? When Jack tripped and was about to fall off a cliff and die like an idiot, who rescued him? If Juliet didn’t change her mind about being a spy, who would’ve revealed her identity?

I also read in USA today after the season 3 finale, however long ago that was, that the producers did say that Locke was the key to the show. And that throughout the next few seasons, we would learn why.

Locke IS really the lost character. Many things have happened thanks to him. Ok, i was a bit mad to see him blow the sub, but remember that he is a bit crazy about his theory of “the island wants us to be here, there is a reason for us being here”, etc etc. Which in the end, proves him right, since jack and all the oceanic 6 think they made a mistake by getting off the island.

It’s getting so close to the premier
Back from a long hiatus otherwise known as “the months in between Lost being on”.
Very excited about the new series starting, but does anyone else have this same problem? Whenever a new series of a program is about to start on the telly, your local DVD rental shop is completely out of stock of the previous series so you cann’t have a catch-up!! Season 4 of Lost has been rented out of my Blockbuster for the past week and a half!

I just went to a Lost event at the Paley Center in NY and saw the first 20 minutes of the new season 5 episode. Sci-Fi channel is showing “Lost” seasons…..tomorrow, the 19th, it starts at 5 PM and goes until late late night. They were on Season 4 as of last Monday night. So I think they will continue in order. But with last Wednesday’s showing of Season 4 Finale on ABC again, who knows! I have watched all the seasons on sci-fi until last week on ABC.

Wondering who the lady at the end of the season 5 premiere is?
Her name is Ms. Hawking. We ran into her way back in Season 2, episode 8 after Desmond first time traveled. He tried to change the future by marrying Penny and thus never crashing on the island. The woman selling him an engagement ring attempted to convince him not to go through with that. She then revealed she knew who he was, what he would do in the future, and that he had to do just that.

i was also thinking she is daniels mom. daniel has obviously been to the island before thats why we saw him in the tunnel when they first were digging around the “energy” right?? I have to watch it again. I did like the beginning hour when damon and carlton said its time to answer more questions than ask….which i think they started doing right off the bat. this show is on another level! love it
One more thing about Ms. Hawking, in the scene where Desmond is fired from being a Monk in season 3. There is a photo on the desk of the Brother that he goes to hand in his robes to. That photo is of this Monk and Ms. Hawking.
So there has to be some connection there. Perhaps the brothers fired him under her instruction to ensure that he would reach the island and fulfill his destiny. However they did not intend on him meeting Penny, so Ms. Hawking had to get involved herself in order to course correct Desmonds path

The premiere was F-ing awesome. Sucks we have to wait another week, but its better than 8 months.

for now I am under the thought that when we saw Danial in the tunnel that may have been part of the record scratch in time back and forth that losties are a part of…. but somehow it is just introduced at that point with out the audience being aware of it, and that there may be a series of events in time jumping (like the “Constant” episode season4) that will get us to understand that Daniel will need to do something to the energy “area” of the tunnel to make some sort of correction.
One thing I kept thinking during the episode was when Dr. Hallowax…or one of the other two or three names that character possess is when we saw the video and he mentioned an “incident”….. for now I am under the thought that this incident will relate to Danial doing some damage (as mentioned in the previous paragraph).
On another note I bet the writters will introduce the explanation of the four toed statue through the time jumping.
on still another note….What a pleasure to see the Character Anna Lucia….I wonder if we will ever see Mr. Echo?

I like how they threw in the confirmation that Locke was suppose to pick the compass as opposed to the knife when Richard came to visit him as a kid. In the season premier Richard gave Locke the compass.
the statue i think just serves as something built to judge the time jumps. since it was man made if its there then your in a time after it has been built if not then before….could be wrong but that was my first impression
