Penny and Desmond are Adam and Eve?
Remember back to season 1 in the episode “House of the Rising Sun” when Jack stumbled upon a cave and found two skeletons with two stones in their pocket – one black and one white? We never found out who these 2 skeletons belong to, but do you think its possible that it’s Desmond and Penny? The below image shows multiple screenshots pasted together of the skeletons, the stones, and then the interesting fact of two objects in Desmonds apartment from the epsiode “Flashes Before Your Eyes” that look very similar to these two stones. This in combination with an old quote from the producers hint that the time differences have been planned from the very beginning:
“What is the meaning or significance of the two skeletons that Jack and Kate found in the cave of season 1?”
CUSE: The answer to that question goes to the nature of the timeline of the island. We don’t want to say too much about it, but there are a couple Easter eggs embedded in “Not in Portland”, one of which is an anagram that actually sheds some light on the skeletons and hints at a larger mythological mystery that will start to unfold later in the season.
LINDELOF: There were certain things we knew from the very beginning. Independent of ever knowing when the end was going to be, we knew what it was going to be, and we wanted to start setting it up as early as season 1, or else people would think that we were making it up as we were going along. So the skeletons are the living — or, I guess, slowly decomposing — proof of that. When all is said and done, people are going to point to the skeletons and say, “That is proof that from the very beginning, they always knew that they were going to do this.”

I feel the the link is stretching it a bit based on what has been revealed to the viewers….
However, in saying that…to entertain the theory it just might be…but why in the world would they be in the cave???
….what about the old lady (forgot her name “ruth???”) that misteriously shows up now and then…like to Desmond when he was buying the ring for Penny…maybe she is Eve??/
OK…I doubt it but it was fun….
The two rocks on the chair seem to be all white. One of them should be black, isn’t it?

I don’t think so, but that being said I am not really into the whole Des/Penny thing. The Constant was a great episode but other than that I just don’t care too much for all the soap/drama parts. I have read this theory before and the general feeling was that the two objects on the table were bottle caps from beer bottles also seen in the screen cap. On the other hand I have no idea who the skeletons are and will be really excited when they decide to revisit that mystery.
i don’t remember half of this stuff from earlier seasons that are relevant to the shows mythology and overall main idea. Its ridiculous to think I would be thinking about shit like that for 3 seasons now……are they f-ing serious with that. Who can keep up with all the other BS that has come and gone with no explanation….I vaguely remember the skeletons and i don’t remember bottle caps!! I don’t get what they are really expecting of people…..i would never have remembered shit like that….bothers me when such miniscule things are meant to to have significance to the overall show….so stupid…so annoying!! after all the shit we’ve seen how can we possibly store away bottle caps for three years in the back of my head and tell myself…that could mean something, remember it….m-fers
I don’t think we are really expected to remember that kind of stuff, I think you can have just as much fun sitting down and watching without trying remember every single little thing. I think one of the best parts of the show is how it keeps connecting everything, for instance, when Juliet story was being told it revisted the plane crash scene and actually showed how the others possed as people from the plane crash. It lays some stuff out there for you to find if you want too and later on if its important it throughs it in your face letting you know it was always there.
Saying all that I don’t think that Penney and Des are Adam and Eve but it is a good theory (at least just as good as anything else). Thanks for the post Scott.

The bottle caps I was referring to is about the picture above showing two objects on the table, this has been referenced by several people to be the same as the black and white stones that were found on Adam and Eve in the first season. I believe they are nothing more than a couple of bottle caps not the afore mentioned stones. And I agree there is a lot to keep track of with this show I like to use Lostpedia as a reference myself but some people out there get really really into this and know basically the whole transcript for every episode.

I’ve pondered what the Easter egg anagram of “Not In Portland” could possibly be. The list is long, do you see one that could be a real hint about the skeletons?

The anagram was actually the word Mittelos which is the fake name of the company they recruited Juliet to work at in the episode Not in Portland. The anagram is Lost Time.
I never remember anything about the rocks in season 1, b ut oh well. All I have to say is that its time to add another question to the very very long list.
I doubt they are.. The stones don’t look like each other, not as black and white, so I don’t think they’re it.
I actually think the skeletons are going to be jack and kate. I think the whole time and space thing is going to be to do with Jack has been on the Island before the original crash but does not remember it. I have no facts or proof to explain this theory further and it’s probably a load of rubbish but that’s my idea anyway guys.
Hi, I think, that I have many proofs, that you already see them, read story of Adam and Eve by czech writer Ivan Olbracht, and come on to see on the some episodes of Lost: 1×01, 1×06, 1×07, 1×21, 2×01, 2×03, 2×09, 3×07, 3×16, 3×23 and mainly 4×13-14.
Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve, even Locke knows it:))
who knows, who knows:) I have feelings, that writers doing with Lost absolutely crazy and sci-fi tv show, o.k. I don´t know, it can be everyone, everyone can be Adam and Eve, but at the end we can discover, that they were do it for it, for it, that they are Adam and Eve, I think.

no i dont agree with any theory, either with Jack & Kate or Penny & Desmond. Why? Because while the losties where on the island, Desmond was in the hatch! Then how come? the timeline is supposed to be different passed a certain point and on a certain bearing… not on the same island

In the Stargate a network of ancient alien devices called Stargates connects the far reaches of several galaxies, opening the door for near-instantaneous interstellar travel.
The Stargates often use a DHD or Dial-Home Device, almost always referred to as the “DHD” control consoles, to operate the dialing sequence of the various Stargates.
As in this case for the island that no one knows it exists, this would obviously like a stargate leave an open door policy that would only allow certain individuals through.
As for Des and Penny / skeletons were they wearing any clothes?

Reason, why they have to go back is, that if they will not come back to island, so all left- behinders (Miles, Sawyer, Juliet etc.) will die!!! OMG!
And other spoiler! If island will translocation in finale of s4, so all island travelled in time to the past( so we will see Dharma, etc.)!!!

It is indeed really interesting if we could go back to the Dharma beginnings. you know i have always been very intrigued about the guy talking in the videos (dont recall the name), the guy with oriental features. When on season 3 Ben says that he is not the leader, i thought that it must be him, it made so much sense!!! but well it was jacob, and for me the Jacob character is yet very very unclear…
im interested to see how the heck they are going to manage to find the island all over again !
