Meet Kevin Johnson | 2 Sneak Peek Video Clips
Locke calls together a town hall meeting and everyone’s invited. He’s finally decided its time for “no more secrets”. The secret Ben decides to reveal is the true reason that the freighter people are on the island.
Sayid sleeps with his shoes on, Desmond does not. Someone really wants off the boat, but the captain disagrees. Sayid would like to know what Michael is doing on the boat. Michael doesn’t think his future looks too bright.

awww this episode promises! Ive heard ep.8 is a major one of this season
looking forward to it
I can’t wait either!!! Do you have any theories as to what may be somewhat resolved?
I think ALOT of questions will be answered in this episode, it seems to be the “turning point” episode where alot is revealed.
Ya know what I dont get though (unrelated to topic above). In the end of season 3 Ben tells the rest of the others (Richard and all the rest who were still alive) to go to the temple as planned. They went. It’s been 10 days, and no one has returned??????
Has anyone else caught this??
Any theories??
The more I watched, the more I thought John was under Ben’s control …. He was quite a good and determind guy at season 1. So sad to watch him changed.
Bodhi… I sure hope a lot of questions will be answered…. But in a strange way I hope they stretch some of them out until the last season. I have caught this too about the “Others” and this “Temple”. Do you think the four toed ruin sculpture could be the temple.
Here’s another thing to think about…(off subject) Do you think they will EVER do a flashback about the Black Rock?
JasonL: IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY TOO!!!! I wish so much more for him. His storyline throughout all the series…seems to be so…Hopeful or sympathetic (well Jack too but in a different way). It’s like Jack i totally oblivious to his potential and Locke just doesn’t know how to get to his potential.
Locke seemed to be fitting back into his “This is my DESTINY!” role at the end of season 3. Yes, is surely has been spiraling down…fast mind you…. this season. He seems to be making very selfish decisions for no apparant direction and yes,…it has been sad to watch. Couple with Ben more or less “Pimping” him. My wish is that Ben is actually guiding him to his Destiny.
The way the writters write Locke’s storyline about trust and the self destructive choices he makes (continuely) is such high craft. Unlike any show I have ever watched.
WHAT DHARMA MEANS…(OR) HOW DOES ONE ACHIEVE TRUE DHARMA…YOU WILL FIND THIS INTERESTING!!!
Ten Virtues as Dharma
The following ten virtues constitute true Dharma
Supreme forgiveness
Supreme humility
Supreme straightforwardness
Supreme truthfulness
Supreme purity
Supreme self-restraint
Supreme penance
Supreme renunciation
Supreme non-possessiveness
Supreme celibacy
Notice the last one… Is it possible that this may relate as to why people are unable to achieve child birth? Now I understand that the Dharma Iniciative is seperate from the original inhabitants or…the “Hostiles” however is it also possible the Dharma iniciative evolved out of knowing this island was “True Dharma” amongst itself and, the Dharma Iniciative was trying to exploit its spirt, soul, energy, Dharma?
I HAD NO IDEA!!!!! This whole show was based or connected to the novel “The Dharma Bums” or “The Dharma Burns”. Written by get this….JACK Kerouac. The book was written in 1958 when the author was personally on a spritual journey of mental awareness. At any rate… The book is an autobiographical novel concerning a pair of wanderers who are searching for the ultimate meaning of life.
I won’t even go into great detail how I made this connection…but it was at a lecture about Public Art in L.A. and an artist used a quote from the book… Just then I said to myself…”No way…Wait till I get home and find out what this book is about.”
Is there anyone else out there awhere of this possible connection…Or am I just late.
Also, does anyone know what book the lady was reading. The one that was outside of Sayid and Desmond’s holding room on the ship, and was reading the book upside down.
DAMN!!! one more thing!!!!! about Jack Kerouac… He was a known as a heavy DRINKER as to which was a major cause to his death. (please excuse any mispelling I may have in previous posts)
Jason,
The book Regina was reading that was upside down was called “The Survivors of the Chancellor” by Jules Verne.
The book is about a ship that catches fire, lands on an island, is repaired and then starts sinking again when they leave. There are some people from the boat who leave on a raft. Several people “go insane” and they show suicidal tendencies. There is quite the parallel to the freighter.
THANK YOU SCOTT!!!
Man that’s exciting!!!
got a question. if ben is so concern about C.W killing everyone at the island after they get him. why in the previous chapter he sent that lady that i dont know her name to advice kate to go to the tower and stop the people. Weren’t they trying to stop the killing (what ben started)
just a thought
ten virtues of Dharma thing i think is suspect because while there on things on there you could make a case for there are others that discredit it.
Supreme straightforwardness….this show has never been straight forward.
Supreme truthfulness….they all lie to one another. the others and the losties
Supreme non-possessiveness…ben tells juliet she is his.
What about the numbers? Will that question ever be answered, or is that subject forgotten?
there have been a few story lines that just got axed…..i think they will make their way back but yea they kind of went away with no answers….we still see the numbers on most things so thats why i think they will come back.
the writers are always balancing us. Who is the really wrost? what would be yous choice Ben or Peeny’s father?. All this begining is turning about a confidence question. You’d have gone with john or stay Jack? what was your first choice? And now?
Adam…I never said they accertained Dharma. With that being said…
Supreme straightforwardness….this show has never been straight forward.
The show itself….no… The people of course not that is why its called…”Lost”.
Supreme truthfulness….they all lie to one another. the others and the losties.
To achieve Dharma… one has to get to it in stages. Why is it that either a person is killed for either not coming to terms with themselves and their ways, or why is one killed off when he or she has achieved a certain level of atonement…. This can’t really be debated. However, with dealing with the “Lies” that each party possess see my answer to this in the previous statement….(The people of course not that is why its called…”Lost”.)
Supreme non-possessiveness…ben tells juliet she is his.
Didn’t Ben get a Tumor? Aaaaannndddd did Juliet get away???? We still have 2 1/2 season left to find out what exactly happens to Ben.
Another Dharma..by the way….
There were 8 stations to the Dharma Initiative…. There is a confimation of possibly more that we are unaware of…Hmmmm my guess is 2. However, we will see
i see what ur saying…but then no one has even come close to achieving it…..i think its def a possibility but to me thats seems weak….hope its something else cause that doesnt sound cool enough.
Firstly, thank you all for your comments. For one who has not seen a single episode in season 4, this has given me great insight to the plot.
Now, I was wondering if any of you have thought back to the first 2 seasons? I believe besides the numbers there are several other questions that require answers.
Ok, for starters, what we heard in the pilot, came back as that thing that’s controlled within those pillers. But what about the hullucinations that Hurly was having? His friend Dave, what was that all about. And what about the guy in the mental institution with the numbers, how did he get that way?
Who are where is Marvin Candle or whatever his name is. What happened to his hand?
There are 2 islands, you can see one from the other but not the other way around?
Does anyone remember ‘father’ issues? That every or most of them have father issues? Jacks father was seen on the island. What about Eko’s orange plane with his brother in it.
Someone went swimming in the first season and then disappeared, remember that? Were they sucked into the Looking glass?
And then there are some other connections, like Libby and Desmond. That guy who took Desmond into the hatch was in Iraq with Sayid. They have all somehow crossed paths with each other… well, most of them.
And the biggest question that I have is what on earth is that rabbit thing all about?! It shows some kind of space time continuum experiment.
Any comments?

I think most of your questions get answered or at least get some more back ground about them in season 4….I think you can watch each episode online on friday after they air….look into that cause this season is really great
to answer about the numbers - they are the core values of the valenzetti equation which predicts the end of the world. The DHARMA people’s mission is to change these core values through diff. stuff I don’t know about - but anyways, it seems that these different hatches are perfoming experiments to change these numbers, how… i dont know. But I agree the rabbit thing was weird, if they touched each other would time end or something… perhaps the rabbit was sucessfully traveling in time not only in concience but body as well, maybe these DHARMA guys figured out how to do it with abnormal properties of the island… Dan Faraday figured out how to travel time in the concience (ie Desmond) and possibly hes on the island to research this more. Any thoughts?
these teasers were good, and didn’t give too much away for the episode.
