Could very well be him, he does look similar. I did wonder who it was because it is not like the lost writers (as far as I know) to just randomly show extra’s like that. I know that the guy who plays Alvar in the Lost Experience is Ian Patrick Williams not sure who plays the old man though, can’t find in it the casting or anything. So maybe he may be an extra but I don’t think so.

I agree with Jones. Lost writers seldom show unmeaningful extras in this show. And to me also the old guy very much resembles Hanso.

although…. I cant deny the resemblance in the photos above. So who knows?

Uh… sorry if I sound dumb but who is Alvar Hanso?

Alvar Hanso is the founder of the Dharma Initiative. A while back there was a “game” called the Lost Experience where people were hunting online for clues about the show. This video here is an interview with Alvar that talks about some of the mysteries of the island such as the meaning of the numbers.

Hmmm, interesting stuff. I have watched every episode since the beginning of the show, and I never remember Hanso being in anything. Was he only shown in the videogame?

I’m not sure, he does look a lot like him, with his hair and all, but a small detail is that his eyebrows and mustache are darker in the other pictures than in the lost screenshot, could be made lighter of course though.

I just had another thought about it being Hanso. Since Michael was seeing an apparition or whatever of Libby, what if Hanso was also an apparition. Someone mentioned that during one scene the guy had an oxygen mask, and then in the next it was gone.

We have more to find out about Michael’s story from the time he left the island to the time he drove into a dumpster trying to kill himself(which is a really dumb way to try and kill yourself if your going to do that type of thing). What if Michael also has killed or had some kind of involvement with Hanso that he is feeling guilty about?

I think it’s him and still alive because if he was dead in a hospital his head should have been covered with a sheet. I also noticed when it showed him after michael saw libby he had a oxygen mask on but not before. If he’s not Alvar he’s someone more important than an extra.

i think they shud of mentioned hanso alot more on the show rather than have these silly websites bcos they are sum ppl who just like to watch the show without knowing wots gonna happen next..
