Season 3 Finale - Flashback FlashForward FlashGordon? Who Knows

So our site has been down most of the day apparently it got so much traffic it crashed harder than oceanic flight 815…..*crickets*

But now that its back up here’s a few more noteworthy thoughts about the Lost Season 3 finale. I saw this earlier today and thought it was some pretty good thinking:

“I’m also thinking that the flash forwards may not belong to Jack. What if they’re visions of a possible future being show to John Locke….or maybe even to Ben, by the island/Jacob/Walt/black smoke/whatever form it wants to take today. That way as they’re watching Jack make that phone call, they’re also seeing what that action brings him in his future and adds to their motivation to stop him. Locke said “You’re not supposed to do this, Jack.” While that fits his character perfectly and he says that shit all the time, I think he had a little more reasoning behind it this time. Not to mention the fact that it’s very possible he sees himself in a casket in this visions, and would explain even better how Locke is seeing it since it would also be his future and he’s just seeing Jack react to it.”

One final note is that we noticed a hidden anagram (which means switch the letters around to get a new word for you less learned folks) in the name of the funeral home Jack visited. The name reads Hoffs / Drawlar. Switch the letters around and you get a nice little message of “Flash Forward”. This kind of ruins my idea that the show is actually taking place in the present and the island scenes were actually the flashbacks, but still interesting none the less.

Anyone else notice any other little easter eggs in this episode?

saying that the island segments are the flashbacks is the most ignorant thing i have ever heard. why would there be an air marshal transporting kate if she hadn’t killed anyone? why would hurley have shity luck if him playing the numbers was present day and if the island was a flashback?

think logically.

Okay, I don’t understand why Kate wasn’t in jail in the “Flash Forward” final scene. Wouldn’t they arrest her as soon as she got back?

I agree with ya there joe, need to knoe more on this.

Okay, everybody seems to forget that this is not really going to happen, because the “flash forwards” it what could had happen if the losties will get out of the island afte the call but they are not, we still have 3 more seasons to go. I think the “flash forward” was what either Walt, Locke and Jake knew that will happen if Jack made that call and they will be rescue, because it is not mean to happen and this doesn’t suppose to happen because it will change the destiny of all in this time “break” island. If you think about what Desmond saw back on the past and he understood that one thing follows another but only if you do what you supost to do, Destiny. Sorry if this sounds confusing but it is midnight and I am just tyred I guess. Will try to be more specific and clear next time.

Ok, if Charlie is dead, now Desmond’s vision has happen and rescue also takes place. In that case, the “flash forward” becomes real, and Jack is becoming crazy trying to get back to the island.
On the other hand, Kate is no more a fugitive because of all the things that happened to her and all the crew. Also Kate freedom point is irrelevant because if either the “flash forward” is a vision or is real, then something happened between the island and the future that relived her from prison and now she is free.
Now, the really question for me is: if there was a jamming signal, if there were still some “new dharma” trying to communicate with the island… well, how can that make sense with the fact that there is a periodically air-shipment of food and supplies from the dharma initiative. And, why is there a periodic shipment of supplies from the dharma initiative to the others. It makes no sense at all. They could easily arrive at the island by air in parachutes (like Naomi… opss?)

Probably one reason can be the following:
-Contamination takes place
-The island becomes in quarantine
-People in the hatches that were not known by Ben may be still alive
-People in these hatches obtain periodically information and supplies by the Dharma team, although the dharma team lost communication with the island (they continue to ship supplies in the “what-if” case of team-survivors)
-Dharma team is finding the way to recover the island and the project
-So what Charlie did is to allow the Dharma initiative to reestablish communication with the island
-Now that communication has been reestablished, they will try to communicate with the radio tower, where all the people are.
-Problem is, John L. goes away and he is in advantage with Walt and Jacob’s help.
-So, if rescue takes place, not all in the island becomes rescued (john for instance)
- If rescue takes place, at least someone will try to investigate what’s going on in this island.
-Finally, rescue will not be an easy task if we take in consideration that Desmond failed to escape, some planes and helicopters are prone to crash when approaching to the island, and there some island guardian like the black smoke and the invisible monster that time to time kill (or try to) someone.

Hate to say this, but i think we just saw the last sceene of lost. I think the show will end with jack by LAX… Everything else will be what leads up to that moment. THAT KINDA SUCKS TOO!!!

How come in the “flash forward” Jack keeps refering to his dead father as still being alive? Jack’s dad died before the plane crash. That’s why he was on the plane in the first place, to bring his father’s body back. If it is a flash forward, why does he ask the other doc to go upstairs and get his father to see who was more drunk. Also, at the pharmacy, the girl starts to call his dad to verify that he wrote the rx and not jack. If his dad is dead, how can she call him. They must be in some kind of alternate future/time period. If they leave the island some events may not occur, such as Jack’s dad not dying.

I agree with prm. I think that the ‘flash forward’ is actually an alternate reality as seen by John Locke. In the same way that Desmond has been able to change Charlies future a number of times, so too can the events seen in Jack’s future be changed by actions in the present, on the island. That’s why John was more keen than ever to stop Jack from getting them off the island.

more imfomation please

now I’m really confused
my head hurts
maybe I’m in an alternate universe

What if some of the flashbacks of Jack are really flashforwards? Maybe he didn`t have finished his relationship yet before he got into the island… Don`t you think he got too much insane because of his wife?
