Lost Season 4 Starts Jan. 2008
There has been confusion around the web as to when Lost Season 4 actual starts for those wondering it is season 4 starts January 2008.
It was announced that Lost will continue for a fourth, fifth and sixth year, concluding with the 117th produced episode of the series during the 2009–2010 season. These three final seasons will consist of 16 episodes each, running weekly in the spring— uninterrupted by repeats.
Although the annoucement says that beginning with the 2007-2008 television season, the final 48 episodes of Lost will be aired as three seasons with sixteen episodes each. Thus, Lost will conclude with its sixth season. These seasons Do not start until the last Wed in January 2008 and are to air uninterrupted from February to May.

im happy about lost going for a 4,5,6 seasons. Also nice ending in season 3 intresting to know how ben was right and maybe you cant leave this island. Your ment to be there. Iwant to know one thing can i please be invited to a shoot. Lost is my favorite show and i would love to see it live.

Its great to hear lost is going to keep running, Ive just watched the episode with the flash forwards where Jack is loosing it and wants to be back on the island.
How is it going to carry on with them back to normallity?

IN my opinion its not as obvious as we think. Lost has signed up for 3 more seasons, i think we are being messed with again.
We dont know if it was a flashfoward or the whole island was a flash back….
I hope jack gets his head sraight as he has played a great part throughout the series and would be a shame for it to end with him being a drunk.
It was a shame to see charlie die,i wish he would have locked the door from the other side.
Did Desmond see penellapee was on the screen? it would have been good for him to get a word in.

I think the jack and kate bit could be a desmond foward flash at the start he’ll have this flash again and showing the first scene and the first scene which we never saw was ben awaiting the helicopter and getting shot and by people in the helicopter and the people in the helicopter are the other others, the bad others. these people have bombs and everything, desmound 2nd scene was desmound blowing himself up to rescue jack and others, so the others and jack are now a group, they are all hiding at the temple, 4 toe statue, another dharma station!!!!!,
the last ep woz mad when jack said to the bloke to go and get his father when we all know that he his dead thats y jack woz on the plane he woz bringing his dads body back this flash forward thing is really mad

A simple explaination of why Jack would have mentioned his father is because he was drunk and drugged up and wasn’t even thinking about what he was saying. My question is Who was in the coffin it was obviously a kids coffin but was it Clairs kid or Suns? or even Walts coffin? and why didn’t anyone go to the funeral?
how can you guys be HAPPY about three more seasons? it will destroyt he seasoN TOTALLY. I hate when all series does this just to get more moeny, the story will be torn out, and it will end up in a mess. i mean, the third season started of really bad, but in the middle of it it got back to good again. i was hoping for only 3 seasons, but 4 ok..but 6?! this is so sad..it will jsut end up as all other crappy series that went with too many seasons.

I think that they added in that flash forward to mess with our minds. It will probably mean nothing. Or maybe jack’s dad is still alive because everyone on the Island lives. That french guy kept living! Freeky!
You fools, the person in the coffin is J-O-H-N L-O-C-K-E don’t think so? here are some reasons. He was shot on the island… the island was keeping him alive so when they were rescued and they all left the island.. he obviously wasn’t able to be kept alive. also he is the one who at the end shot at jack and tried to get everyone to not leave the island… and therefore made himself look just as bad as the others and ben.. so thats the reason nobody showed up. Also, Jack was the only one who showed up because he’s been trashing himself since he realized he needed to go back. And therefore knew that locke was right… and that’s why he showed up to the veiwing.
anyways… if you guys actually think about it reasonably… why would sawyer or juliet or any of your weird assumptions make any sense..???
Your talking a lot of sense there Jonathan,although Would Locke have left with the others in the event of a rescue knowing he would never walk again? I think Ben is telling the truth that the people on the boat are indeed the enemy of what i still dont know though.
alas, we don’t know the answers to a thousand questions. and for some reason i doubt 90% of them will be answerd. about locke leaving with the others… i believe he had no choice… he was barely walking and bleeding profusely and i doubt the people coming to the rescue took him to try and save his life… but i have no idea or any theory on who’s boat that is. I think ben has wisdom in many things… but then again he is full of lies and deceit. I am guessing that he’s right on this one. The boat is probably people that have been trying to get on the island. BUT i think that possibly they are actually the Dharma group. Because if you remember, ben was pretty much the downfall of the dharma initiative. he killed everyone. and when he said “if those people find this island everyone on it will be killed” thats because the hostiles have killed everyone and then blocked all signals and ways of finding the island again… so the dharma people on the boat have been searching and searching and then when they find it they will kill everyone but the innocent.
Another thing though is that naiomi had a picture of desmond. I guessing also that the dharma people have been looking for any clues or any info on the island. and once desmond travelled in time, told penny about the island and the magnetic pulse, and told her to track it. Once penny put money into finding an invisible island i bet the dharma kind of did the same thing and followed desmond, and then waited for the magnetic pulse, kind of got in the area of it, and then sent out helicopters panning the area, thus naiomi with a picture of the person who said to find the island and waited for the chance to get back to the island…

if the dharma people are the new hostiles who have been trying to locate the island, who was dropping all these food supplies (with the parachute)? I mean that they obviously know already the location of the island..
I think vera makes a good point and it is deff. something to consider. If the article does start with a “J” then I certainly think that Locke is the one in the coffin and the only reason why Kate and nobody else wanted to see him was because he probably will do something in the future to make him become a bad guy in the show

I think Ben was in the coffin. That is why no one was there – everybody hates him. But Jack was trhete couse he understood that leaving the island was a mistake. I think in season 5 or 6 may be Jack will become Ben ()same role.

I think Jacks whole drunk stage is a flash forward or dream so what difference does it make who was in the coffin, I read on the article that it was a man found drowned downtown?? My guess would be Locke but why would he leave the island to become a one kidneyed cripple?

I think in season 4 the flash forward will start as in present and there will be flash backs of how they got rescued and all the story till present(Jack is drunk,who is in the coffin,etc) and the show will continue with jack trying to get back to the island .
first of pearl…learn to spell and also the whole purgotory idea has been going round since season 1. i def do like the idea that the new others are the dharma but the food drops does contradict it tbh. i think they may have the chance to get rescued but that flash forward was one of desmond’s visions and he convinces everything that leaving the island is not an option. what i want to know is what happened to walt and michael, and what walt was said to locke. walt has some sort of powers and only locke was able to see that (getting the knife in the tree in season 1) i also believe the theory of whatever walt imagines wishes comes true (reading a comic with polar bear, one shows up//see the knife in the tree in minds eye, get knife in the tree//told locke to get up after being shot, locke was able to get up and walk) this could be an interesting idea. there are still alot of questions needing answered so you people that say 3 season will ruin it are wrong, i don’t want to see all these questions answered in 1 season, it would be far to much to take in, over 3 seasons seems reasonable.

i was in tears when they killed charlie how could they. i was very confused by the flash forwards with jack because if you notice he was saying to kate we gotta go back and he was on about flying hoping to crash.
now when it goes on to walt and jacob could jacob be a shapeshifter i know it sounds strange but what if he changed in to walt to help locke?
who knows how this show will end really i never want it to its too good and adictive.

The finale of LOST was kinda confusing for me at first so I had to rewatch it. In my opinion Charlie and Desmond are still alive. I believe Desmond swam out with the scuba gear, and as for Charlie, I think that he was able to swim out of the blown porthole, he wasn’t injured during the blast. I think Juliet or Sun is in the coffin, I think Sun because of what Juliet told her when she did the ultrasound.
Yeah but the thing is why would jack go to suns funeral and on tht peice of paper it had the letter J ! Also i dont r8 fink charlie wud of swam out tht little window becuase its obvious he drowned and theres no way he would of held his breath for that long !

First, I like the fact that this forum actually talks about LOST! The ABC forum is full of spammers, every other comment.
Some things I noticed. I seemed the boy who was staring @ Jack while he was in the outside cage on the Island is the same boy Jack sees in the Waiting room in the season finale after the lady crashed into him.
Also, the elderly lady with ‘psychic’ powers in Desmond’s exploding hatch induced flashback, is in a picture on the desk of the monk who is firing Desmond, with the monk who is firing desmond. It seems everyone is connected.
What would royaly suck… if it was all a made up story by Jack in a drunken stupor

Oh yeah… I’m thinking the person in the coffin from the finale is either Locke, or Benjamin… seems the most logical, but as Lost goes, logic doesn’t seem to apply until after the fact.
But why would locke or Benjamin want to leave the island? One’s a cripple and the other has nothing to go to,no family,home,money or hair!! Good points. Maybe they didn’t have a choice about staying. Maybe thats part of the reason Benjamin and Locke both wanted all communication off the island destroyed. I guess time will tell as there’s too many factors still that need dealt with… like if walt was Jacob and is or is related to the black smoke monster, why didn’t he/they/it just OWN Jack or the rescue Lady Naomi if they/it were so afraid of what would happen to the island? It had no problems smashing Mr. Echo like a bug

I’m not quite as into Lost as most of you – in fact, if it had continued as it started this season, I was through with it – I seriously didn’t think it would last long enough for a season 6 – but of course, it finally returned to all its former glory and the plots that interest me. But my question is – do I remember correctly that there was one episode during which Jack saw his dad on the island? If so – maybe…………

i think it is so stupid how they are going to make lost go on for 3 more seasons. how much more can happen to them?? i dont think i can keep watching. for 3 more years?? it is a great idea for this story, but its ridiculous to stretch it out that long and im sure a lot of other people will lost interest because its just seems as its never going to end..grr
I have a few theories/explanations:
1. They are NOT in purgatory. Not only does it not make any sense, but I really dont think the producers would throw a religious twist on the main story line.
2. The flash forward was a dream (not a vision). The LOST producers get so upset over any amount of information being spilled so I doubt they would do it themselves. There are too many people who don’t like spoilers and they know that, I think they’re just trying to throw us off for a bit.
3. The whole 3 more seasons thing could be a great thing or a terrible thing, depending on how the producers handle it. For three years they’ve made more questions than answers and at this point they have two options: One, stretch out the next three seasons and have them slowly reveal ALL of the answers that came up in the previous three seasons, or two, make another three years of questions and anticipation, only to be abruptly cut off with little to no answers in the series grand finale. Hopefully, they’ll choose option number one.
4. Someone asked what happened to Micheal and Walt, we have already been given the answer: When Walt was taken by the Others, Micheal sought out to find him. The Others found him and gave him a list of people (Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, and a few more). They told him that if he went back and convinced those people to come with him and lead them to the Others, that they would let Walt and Micheal “go home”. And so he did, and they supposedly let them go home (member the scene where they got into a boat (or a sub, cant remember which) and Jack and everyone were all tied up on the dock?). But I dont think they really let them go, I think they prolly killed them a few hours (or minutes) later.
5. Jacob and Walt – I agree with the idea that Jacob is a shapeshifter. I think that he and the black smoke are the same and I think he is the one who caused the hallucinations that everyone kept having (especially Mr Ecko seeing his brother) and I think he was also the Walt that Locke saw when he was shot. I dont think Walt has any special powers and the fact that he was able to throw the knife into the tree doesn’t serve as evidence to it either.
6. Sad to say this, but Charlie really is dead. Desmond watched as he started to float up to the top.. he’s dead. Unless the Island revives him or Jacob takes his form and misleads someone else (probably Desmond of course) he ain’t coming back.
I have more ideas but I can’t remember enough details to back them up, I’ll need to re-watch all 3 seasons again. Then I’ll post back with more.

What a strange coinscience that when Charlie and Desmond got a signal from the outside world it went straight to Penny! Remember what she said, “how did you get this number?” I believe Penny’s Dad is one of the creators of DHARMA, but does Penny know this? I think Naomi was lieing. Penny didn’t send her, Penny’s Dad did (also in search of survivors of Dharma?). I hope we see flash backs which answers who Naomi really was. Obviously military of some sort.
I also find it odd that children can’t be born on the Island, but Jin was not able to have children until coming to the island. The island isn’t allowing children to be born because of Ben. Remember, Ben’s mother died at his birth. Now that Ben is gone I think children will be born again on the island. I believe this is why the island wanted John Locke’s help…to kill Ben. (Remember when Jacob cried to Locke, “Help me!”
Also, my nephew and I believe Ben was in the coffin because Jack was angry that he died, wasn’t a friend or relative and the J in the paper could have been part of Benjamin or a middle initial or a last name.

I do find it a little hard to believe that Penny would send someone (Naomi) in search of Desmond. Especially since they supposedly found the dead bodies of flight 815, along with the entire plane, in the ocean. You remember that? I don’t remember who said it, I think it was Naomi, but when they told him/her that they were the survivors of flight 815, they said “there were no survivors. We found the plane and the bodies. They all died.”
And what do you mean now that Ben is gone? He’s not gone. I don’t think we’ve met whose in the coffin yet. I don’t think its anyone we know. It could end up being just some random guy that we don’t even know. I mean Jack was drinking a lot and he was severely depressed, it makes sense for him to go to a funeral even if he didn’t know the guy. But, if you want to get into the really creepy theories, you could say that its Jack himself in the coffin! Maybe its one of the bodies that they “found” in the plane that they identified as Jack?

That being said, I don’t think they (the producers) would give such a simple ending as “it was their imagination” and use that as a cop-out to answer all the mysteries and questions. They know better then that, they know it would ruin the entire show and it would forever be frowned upon as the worst series finale ever in the history of television.. I dont think that’s what they want.
I have a little theory that Jack and Kate didn’t meant to go back to the island , but go back in time … like Desmond..after the explosion he went back time and then he actually slips again on the island , so probably something happened and Jack and Kate are back in time before flight 815 , because in the finale the man in the drugs store said “dont you know him he saved the lady and the children..hero..blabla” , and dont you think that if they come back from a plane crash it would be more heroic and memorable…so probably the plane crash didnt happened yet …and that’s why jack’s flying ,but thats just a guess , cause i dont see how a flash forward fits the story

I’m sorry to bother you again with my theory but I kinda found new logic…so if they are back in time and Kate didn’t want to go , then their destiny is changed and for example JOHN Locke killed himself (he was feelin awful in that chair so i won’t be shocked if he do this). Probably if they don’t go back in time to that island a different destiny is waiting for them – most of the people in flight 815 might be bound to death if they dont go to that island and that’s why Jack wants to go so bad – to save them.Or probably Juliet is dead and Jack knows that the only way for her to be alive is to change sometng on that island…but as I said..just a theory … as I have experienced with this episodes – nothing is as logical as it seemes and probably all of our theories will be broken in season 4,but I guess that’s the charm of LOST – if we all knew what’s gonna happen we wouldn’t watch it

I’ll tell you one thing, i’ve been sucked into this show from the very first day it aired and to hear that theirs an ending to it is almost a relief. I’m a bit disappointed to hear that their making it 16 episodes per season but i’m sure it’ll give the creators more time to really build up a good ending for it all.
I’m extremely interested in seeing how their going to pull it off in the end come 6th season. All I can say is it better be fucking amazing since they’ve sucked me in soo deep!

I’m a fan of Heroes too… Why is it that Heroes has what seems to be about 24 episodes per season, thus far, and lost has only 12? Is the lost cast really that overpaid that they need 1/2 a season to drop phat loads of cash?
has no one thought why penny was looking for a magnetic anomoly? how did she know that if she found the magnetic anomoly she would find desmond?
It would make sense that John Locke is in the coffin. But it would not be from the bullet. People on the island that get hurt and dont die always mysteriously heal. It cannot be sawyer because that is who kate is obviously talking about to Jack. Who else would she be with. John locke might have died trying to get people to stay or refusing to leave. My guess at season 4 would be them off the island and the actual show would be the flashbacks of there encounters will the new Others on the boat. This is when i think whoever is in the coffin at the end of season 3 dies. My guess would also be that they end up taking over the boat. Jacks leads his “People” heroically off the island and takes them home only to find he has no purpose and is once again lost. side note. I think jacks dad is alive and has a hand in the whole thing. Dharma, the island, hanso, all of it. sorry so long.

Few questions here w/ the inconsistencies of story lines on S3.
1. Ben asked Locke to kill his biological father Anthony Cooper as a ‘gesture’ to show the OTHERS in order to become one of them. Locke pointed a dagger on his dad’s neck but was unable to kill him because as he had said ‘he is not a murderer’. Instead, Locke fetched Sawyer and Sawyer killed Locke’s dad for him because of a rediculous coincidence that Locke’s dad Anthony Cooper aka Tom Sawyer is the same person who had sex w/ Sawyer’s mom which resulted into the murder of his mom and his dad’s suicide. At the last episode of S3, Locke killed Naomi with his dagger while she was trying to call the rescuers from her radio? Have’nt he said that he is not a murderer? He could’nt even kill his dad who conned him his kidney and pushed him from the 8th floor of a building that caused his paralysis.
2. At the end of S3, Kate met with Jack near an airport (obviously they were able to get out of the Island). Why is Kate free? She blew up her moms house to commit insurance fraud, killed her step dad, commited a bank robbery, etc., etc. She should be in jail serving a life sentence.
3. Jack had an argument with a doctor who was questioning him if he had a drink (a spoiler clip, obviously a future scene that had happened). He said to bring his father down and if his father is more drunk than he is then, the doctor can fire him. Isn’t his dad already dead since S1?
Charlie dies….The one eyed Other blew up the window of the hatch from outside w/ a grenade to flood the station. Prior to that, Charlie has already disabled the jammer by dialing the code on the keypad given to her by the lady Other (the clue was a tune from a song of the Beach Boys entitled ‘vibrations’).
1. How the hell was Charlie able to enter the right code in one try when he was a guitar player and not a telephone operator?
2. Charlie was able to complete his mission which was to disable the radio jammer. Why the hell would he stick around, lock the door of the hatch and drown himself when he has already accomplished his mission. The practical thing to do is swim back to the surface when the station was getting flooded.
This only shows that the writers and the producers lack critical thinking and treat their audiences as if all of them are stupid.

Don’t assume that the flash forward is all in chronoligical order. It could be Kate in the coffin.
Lost was by far my favorite show during season one – it was simply brilliant. Season 2 was pretty good too, but I thought the third season was pretty average. I watched the first part of season 4 last night and I have to say the love affair I had with the show has ended. Talk about milking something for all its worth! Great idea but they’ve stretched it too far and now its just rubbish
On further watching of Jack’s flash forward, I’ve deduced that the person in the coffin is not Kate, Locke or anyone else Caucasian. The coffin is in a very small, sparsely decorated funeral home. The one person working there is black. As the camera moves toward the funeral home, there are black men outside talking, meaning the funeral home is in an area where predominantly non-Caucasians live. I think that means the person in the coffin is someone of color (this scenario would fit in American neighborhoods).
I think this means the coffin holds someone who may mean a great deal to Jack in a weird way (since he didn’t even want to go to the funeral yet he put his hand on the coffin and looked in emotional pain) who will be written into the show at a future date, or someone we already have met but whose character hasn’t been fully developed yet, female or male. I haven’t read this theory anywhere else, nor had I even caught all the clues until I saw the 2-part finale again this past week.
