Lost Season 3 finale just ended and naturally there are more questions than answers but this is what I noticed.
Jack with a Beard is after they got back from the Island. What time period we do not know.
Whose Funeral was that where no one was attending? Ben?
Jack flies a lot so he can be in a plane crash again. Why does he want back on the island?
Newspaper with funeral ad. My guess is that its Ben’s funeral
Bernard is a little punkass
Eye patch man mentions that the girls should be on assignment in Canada, what was that about? Was it the people at the end of Season 2?

Charlie is a moron, why didn’t he go outside the hatch and THAN close the door?

Charlie isn’t a moron, he thought if he didn’t die like Desmond predicted, Claire, etc…wouldn’t be saved. Sucks that he had to, but a pretty good scene.
Do they never show the newspaper ad? My guess is Ben too. People are all pissy about ‘they’re all going to get off the island..’ but we don’t KNOW that..even with the Jack/future scenes. When Jack was confronted by the doctor in the hall, didn’t he say “Go upstairs and get my father and if I’m more drunk than him, I’ll leave?” His father is dead, right? Even if they do get off, we don’t they all do, or if they stay off. It’s Lost it’s not just going to turn into a different show. Who’s Penelope? I forgot. Ben’s childhood friend?
In the flash forward when Kate is leaving she says she needs to get back because “he” will get mad. Who’s he? Sawyer??

I don’t know who the dead person is but from looking at the paper the name starts with J and last name is something like Lanthem. I thought is was Saywer because why would Kate and Jack care if it was Ben?
Jackie, if it was Sawyer you’d think that other people would have showeed up and Jack wouldn’t have said neither when he was asked ‘Family or Friend?’ Has to be Ben IMO or ‘Jacob’. ‘John Locke’ ends with a J but that Can’t be him.

Rather than,
“Man found dead in downtown loft”??
That could mean it is a girl!!

Well Charlie’s fate was to “flip the switch” then die. He did not do that he entered the numbers then the bomb then shut himself in there then died…long story short. Anyways they seem to have gotten rescued. Either the producers had him die because Charlie believed that was they only way, in that case producer error because obviously it didn’t happen the way it was supposed to. I don’t know why else he would do that when he would clearly shut himself outside. So it didn’t go the same as the flash and as far as we can tell they still got rescued. If that is the case he could have lived and they would have still get rescued because either way it would not have gone exactly as the flash…just my 2 cents…
I dont know why didnt Tom and his companions shoot Sayid, Jin and Bernard. They didnt follow Bens order none the less Sayid, Jin and Bernard killed 7 others. Its illogical. What are you thinking about it?
Listen again, they DID follow bens orders. Yes ben said over the walkie to kill them all, but this was just a cover, afterwards Tom & co are arguing saying ben had “lost it” and that they should kill them anyway. This makes it obvious that ben had planned this in advance and told them to shoot into the sand, instead of killing them
See i disagree with that, I think Tom didn’t obey Ben’s orders on purpose. I dont think ben had this planned.

also in jacks flashbacks wen the new doctor is speakin to him askin if he is drunk he tells him 2 go get his father and see who is more drunk….so is christian alive now?
maybe charlie didnt flip the switch for a reason.
cos he found out it wasnt pennys boat, so he thought claire might be in danger, so he just did it differently?

My first thought when I saw Jack in the apartment, sitting on the floor, drinking from the bottle, with the dark beard, and the room full of maps was that this entire series is a view inside a madman’s head.
Jack, in a drunken, doped up stupor, is living a life that he can control in his own mind. The people on the island are people he knows from real life. He, on the other hand, is totally out of control in real life. Kind of a twisted Wizard of Oz.
im confused alittle here aswell as 6 million people! when jack said go get my father or words to the effect of that, i thought he was dead so wouldnt that mean that it is a backflash but some were flashforwards so im really confussed! why do the producers do this to us, leave us in a knife edge grrrrr damn u all why kill charlie y y y y yy he was so cool him and claire would of made a nice couple grrrrrrrrr !
Unless thats the sign about Jack’s Dad that it happened before the Crash.

jackie, did u not watch the episode? when u say – ‘Well Charlie’s fate was to “flip the switch” then die. He did not do that he entered the numbers’. he entered the numbers then flipped the red switch to read the incoming transmission, then died. also i love charlie but im glad charlie died, it had to happen. it would not of been fair to everyone if he had cheated death and the whole story of him having to die, would of been completely pointless. hero!
Most of the suviours flashbacks are in some way signifigant to fathers/father figures. Perharps Jacks father is infact alive in future scene along with kates step father, that would also explain why she is not in jail. joost ah silly thought lol
Well i have to say i was completely wrong aboot that :S Thinkin back Desmonds flashbacks are aboot his lost love Penny n Syeds is about his lost love too (hoo charlie saved in one of his flashbacks season 3 episode 22 ah think lol) also Hurleys flashbacks are aboot those lottery number that brought his nothing but missery, the numbers that ended up on the hatch and was what rosella (cant actually member hur name, am rather bad with names)herd before hur boat crashed weird eh ..? n charlies flashbacks bein aboot his drug addiction && band && brother but yet agen his brother seems to be his father figure. correct me if am wrong but do the story behind everyones flash backs not have ah big meaning to this programme ?

what about the fact the russian swam around to chalies porthole with a grenade…that made no sense…the whole chalie death was done wrong…but I did not like chalie…so I am glad he is gone…
Jack’s father is still dead in the future I believe. Jack is just making references to his father like he is alive but because he is drunk, he is just making wild comments to the doctor. The doctor just looks at Jack with pity because of his current condition. I believe the Father is still dead, Jack doesn’t want to deal with reality.
The fact that charlie was willin to die so that everyone else gets saved shows he is ah caring and kind person. I dont know how anyone could have not liked him.
his dad being “upstairs” could mean heaven or where dead people go. jack also really didn’t want that woman to call his dad, maybe because he’s dead. i think they just added those scenes to throw off the audience to it being the future, they are purposely vague to hide the ending. also, about charlie’s death, it seems obvious from his past, especially in greatest hits, that he wanted to be seen as a hero, and have his life mean something, whether or not it was necessary.
Ok a couple of things. Correct me if I’m wrong but do we ever actually see Desmond’s flashes where Charlie flips a switch and drowns? Or where Clair and Aaron get in a chopper? No we don’t. We only have Desmond’s word that it happens. So you can hardly say it was a mistake in the filming. Desmond does get a flash, and knows theres a blinking yellow light involved. And he probably knows penny will be contacted down there. But i think he twisted the truth a little to get Charlie to contact Penny. If he didn’t tell Charlie he had to drown, or that Clair and Aaron get rescued, Charlie would probably have been able to escape.

If what this theory postulates is actually true then its possible that everyone was given some sort of second chance. That when they return to the present time they can do things differently. That Kate never killed her step dad and that’s why she isn’t in jail. It CANNOT be a flashback as we know it because Kate and Jack didn’t know each other before the crash and it CANNOT be a flash forward as we know it because Kate would be imprisoned and Jack’s dad would be dead. (it seems like Jack is pretty serious about his dad being alive. I don’t think he’s THAT crazy) I’m still thinking it is a possibility of what might happen if they get “rescued.”
Hold on… it appeared to me somehow that Jack and Kate were the only ones off the island in the flashforward…? At least that’s what I thought, and everyone ese was still on the island, but somehow only Jack and Kate got off and Jack wants to find the island and save them all? That’s what I thought, maybe I’m wrong. As for the whole Christian thing, I didn’t think much about him being alive, Jack was just saying things cause he was mad or drunk or something, in my opinion. As for the “J” person, don’t forget Sawyer’s real name is James.

I don’t really understand why desmond and charlie didn’t put on the scuba gear before pressing the button…they knew or thought charlie was going to die so this could’ve easily been prevented. I need season 4 to begin now there’s to many questions and so few answers! How is john locke still alive?
uhhh he also tries to write a prescription for his father in which the pharmacist asks to call his office…im figuring the flash forward is a flashback becuz the reason jack is on the crashed flight is cuz he is bringin his dead dad home…also tom knows jon locke supposedly right? i mean they sold weed together at that camp in one of the older flash backs…this leads me to believe that all or some of the flash backs r flash forwards. plus u dnt actually see them rescued and its not pennys boat even tho the parachute chick says it is…mayb been is actually tellin the truth? there r so many hols to what seems like the obvious outcome in this episode, alex isnt bens daughter either…unless russo had sex with ben off the island then crashed on the island conviently right after she gave birth 16 years previously, also it seems weird that when jack is told to go to pick up his fathers remains in austrialia he is not working and very depressed, cud this b wat he was when he was in his drunken stupor just a little more cleaned up, i have thot about just kate and jack knowin eachother b4 they get to the island which wud make sense if u follow the time frame but in the first episode they introduce themselves….once they get rescued kate is free??? isnt she still bein hunted down for murder? none of this follows ne pattern of supposed time, wat we see in the final scene cud have happened b4, mayb there r 2 crahses, mayb some get rescued and others dont, how come michal wud leave the island and never mention it to ne1 again? something must have to happen to u b4 u can actually leave the island. nobody seems to b able to get there by ne convetional method, there just seems to b an obvious direction to which the show is going and i think that everyone has it wrong, everything that seems obvious like that they r actually off the island, or that every flash back is in the past or if it cud b destiny instead, ive read some pretty interesting theories and i cant wait for season 4
i also forgot to mention that richard is first off the same guy who see’s been as a child and the same guy who helps him kill the original dharma, richard is also the guy who recruits juliet…is this just lost using the same actor for different roles or wat? why wud richard answer to been when it seems that richard is an original inhabitant of the island and been wasnt even born there, ive read that the electromagnetic pulse is so powerful its what changes the island, its why desmond had the ability to see destiny, its why the black smoke appears, its why jacoob is a spirit instead of a being, the island predicts numbers that will lead to the destruction of earth and changing them will change destiny, well everything that has happend to ne1 on the island is destiny, it was charlies destiny to die. once u give a part of yourself to the island u r special, mikhile gave his eye….how many times shud he b dead right?? locke can walk and has been shot and convinced not to kill himself???thats not coincidence, the black smoke is the electromagnetic powers streamin thots and minds together, streaming a balance of destiny, how come ben the leader of the others had jack a surgeon fall from the sky, or how ekos brothers plane was there and he finally accepted his fate, or with charlie and the heroin how he overcame his faults in life, or sawer who for his whole life sought to give his letter to lockes dad and he got to and killed him, why is it that jin was able to produce a kid with sun? the island manifests destiny and what happens in the flashbacks or flashforwards cud b real or they cud b visions, it is likely that desmond had the vision of jack and kate…mayb not but i wudnt put it past the minds of the writers to screw with our heads like that. also i wanted to mention the funeral, whose funeral cud it b?? i was thinkin bens for sure but it cud also b lockes or sawers….i mean jack probably wudnt refer to ne of those as friends. i also think that jacob is definately real, mayb sumhow he stops the rescue becasue it wasnt meant to b?? for some reason i cant really put a finget on it, i really dont think they get off the island, not one of em, but it is likely that they do. ne and all ideas have chances at being correct, personally i think the writes drop acid and decided to write
well after reading all these comment i am thoughrly confused.
how about this for the whole jack and his dad in the flash forward thing. the island supposedly heals people like it healed rose of her cancer so could it be that because he came to the island dead he got somehow magically transported home and that when ack saw him in the 1st seris tha was like a message from the island telling him that his dad has been sent home??????
i think it is going to be somebody we havent seen yet that is in the casket. it is quite possible there is still 3 serises left although i think most of the last seris will be them off the island or actually getting off it
as for charlie dying i think he is dead but id like to think that h isnt and that somehow desmond has told him the wrong way that hes going to die so that he can hear about penny, and that because it wasnt the way charlie was ment to die he wont really because it wasnt his “fate”. Also i have another theory that because charlie gave his life to save the 2 people he loves most on the island the island gives him back his life (the whole “youve gotta give summit to the island to get something back from it” situation)
After the purge, how did Ben (Just a workman then) and hostiles (Richard Alpert and co?) learn how to use all of the equipment left? and who was it in that purge group that knew how to operate a submarine? Will we get to see next season how they then took over that building on the mainland and gain control of the organisation so as to recruit further helpers for their not known aims yet? Or am I just being silly?
The beauty of Hi Def allowed me to see part of the name. The last name of the person in the obit starts w/ an A. The first name is three letters. It was definitely a man. Underneath the name reads, “Man found…” I think the first letter of the first name is L. I think it read Leo. Does this make sense? I’m losing track of some things after three seasons. I think the second letter of the first name is an E. I know Ben’s full name is Benjamin. His last name is Linus. Am I correct? So it is not Ben if I am correct. The suspense is horrible!…but good.
Has anyone thought about this again? What if it is not revealed in the two hour episode? I will scream!!! hahaha
