James Latham Sawyer is in the Casket

Yet another reader submission on who is in the Casket. Keep the theories coming, and if its somewhat thought out makes possible sense, I’ll keep posting them for everyone to read.

“its James Latham (Sawyer) heres why…

Sawyer shows back up and has changed his name to James Latham. He tells Kate to stop looking for him and to pretend he is still on the island. Kate calls Jack and she is very upset about Sawyer and how he was acting. Jack tells her that he is in love with her and always has been. Kate says, “this was a mistake, I shouldn’t have called you, don’t try to contact me.”

So here’s where things get REALLY interesting. Obviously Latham (Sawyer) was SUPPOSED to be in the coffin, however it was another con, and had Jack opened the coffin he would not have recognized the man inside. Sawyer took the name Latham because; remember the episode “the Long Con” Sawyer fell in love with a woman he was conning (Cassidy), but was eventually forced to con her or else they would both be killed. Kate later met this woman, and they became friends. Well, because Latham dies “the long con” woman is going to get all her money back that she lost to Sawyer’s con.

Latham is the alias of the man who made Sawyer con Cassidy! Sawyer kills him and HE is in the coffin!”

WOW that sounds like sawyer… i mean he changed his name to sawyer because he started acting like the real sawyer… and so that sounds like the best theory so far… but then who is kate talking about when she says “i got to go… he’ll be wandering where i am…” in the last scene ???

It cannot be Sawyer in the casket because Kate would have came to the funeral. It cannot be Ben in the casket because Jack would have not gone and Sayid probably would have gone since he is working for him and all. I think the best plausable thing would have to be Claire. That would explain why no one came to the funeral. Claire was from Australia, and her family disowned her after having a child out of wedlock, and that is why Kate has Aaron.

Also, in the season 3 finale, when Kate says “i have to get back, he’ll be wondering where I am.” She has to be refering to Aaron.
