So What did you Think of Episode 1?
I’ve had this convo on AIM about a dozen times today so im posting it.
What Did you think about it?
My take - pretty straight foward but brought up a lot of questions.
Why were kate’s wrists all red and bleeding when they put her in jail?
and how the hell did Henry Gale, not know about the sailboat?
Belsky has some crazy theory about electromagnetism controlling the world.
Brew doesnt’ believe in anything he just wants kate and claire to get it on.
Jason P. noted -”henry said “that looked like a good one” when the plane crashed . . . could there be more? “

I hope they kill the guy who didn’t want to see Kate shower…because i now loathe him.
He has to be gay, only explanation!
It would also explain why he likes to dress up in costumes.
The only things they have to explain are the ‘monster’, the incident and how to escape/enter the island. Right?
More commericals than LOST nearly, or so it seemed, and I am paying for cable?
Would like to know if anyone survived the apparent hatch destruction.
To answer your question Mike, if you go back and watch the five minutes of the season 2 finale, you will see Charlie come out of the woods and he says to Claire, "Locke and Echo haven’t come back yet?" So we atleast know that Charlie, Locke, and Echo survived the "explosion" but who we really don’t know about is Desmond. I imagine he is alive as well if everyone else survived.
Also so add more to your comments Cbapp, there are a few other things we need to figure out.
First and most important, the numbers. I think alot of people have forgot about them.
Second, the monster.
Third, the mystery of what this island really is.
Fourth, what the Darhma initiative originally had planned for this island and are these others taking that plan in a new direction.
Fifth, the mystery behind Walt and the special powers he possesses.
Sixth, why this island has "healing" powers, hence Sun is fertil again, Locke can walk, Rosemary doesn’t have cancer anymore, etc.
Seventh, if there is a link between all these losties, since they have all seemed to have crossed paths a few times right before the flight.
Eigth, what Henry, aka "Ben", plans during or after the two weeks he mentioned to Kate in Episode 1 Season 3.
Nineth, why was Libby in the mental institution with Hurley.
Tenth, how will Desmond’s ex girlfriend play into finding Desmond. If you remember, in the last minute of the Season 2 finale, two people out in some arctic area call her and tell her "I think we found him." Perhaps she is the key to their escape and how we will find out what this island really is.
If I’m forgetting anything, which I’m sure I am, then someone please add to my list here.
There’s alot of things answered now but there are 10 times as many questions still posed.
Anyone else think the season 3 premier was sucked? They really revealed nothing. We knew the others werent really living like savages from clairs memories when she was abducted. It really didnt address any of the questions raised by the season 2 closer. Am I alone on this?
You’re not alone. This episode was a major disappointment.
Nothing dramatic happened. We have already seen too many of pathetic Jack’s flashbacks, his drunk dad and his marital problems during the past two seasons.
It was boring altogether. They really didn’t reveal anything.
Okay, if some people actually get excited about such revelations as "Henry’s name is really Ben" and "the book they read was Carrie" then good for them.
But to me this ep was crap!
To JD-
We have put together an answer to the meaning of the numbers in lost here http://www.lostreview.com/2006/6/meaning-numbers-lost.cfm.
After the little shakin at the beginning of season 3 ep.1 they all ran out and automatically looked up into the sky…..kinda weird i find…
Anything??
My friend and I both thought the season premiere was awful, and the second episode was only slightly better. I hope the writers take heed of the disatisfaction of viewers and make some changes fast!
I agree with everybody. The first 2 episodes weren’t Lost’s best. The second episode being only slightly better than the first. I think the show will pick up once they start to answer questions instead of posing more, plus once they focus on charlie, locke, echo, and desmond more. We need to find out what happened in the hatch and if this was such a huge "explosion", how everyone survived.
