New Video Previews of Every Man for Himself
Last week I posted 2 video previews from episode 4, Every Man for Himself, and today I found this new video preview featuring Jack. He is talking to Juliet when all of a sudden Ben comes in looking very worried. He tells Juliet the Sub is back and there is a situation.
The sub?? the others have a submarine? Apparently so. This opens up a quite a few theories about the show. It would seem logical that they are indeed in some type of dome, or snowglobe as it has been referred to before, and the way the others have contact with the outside world is to use the submarine to go underneath the dome.
As far as the situation Ben refers to, I think it is going to be Coleen who has been shot by Sun. Are these the x-rays jack asked about in the previous video clips we posted? Will they ask Jack to operate on Coleen to save her life?
What are your thoughts on this video?

that explains how they got on the damn boat w/o Sayid and jin seeing them
maybe he meant a quiznos sub and the "situation" was that it was without mayo.
Either way, I’m just happy something is actually happening.
Scott, you’re developing a habit of wildly over interpreting things. There is nothing in the video that suggests the "sub" belongs to the Others. I guess we’ll find out more tonight.
And the "snowglobe" theory is preposterous — obviously, at least two planes, three boats and a balloon arrived at the island normally. (if you can call crashing "normally")
Actually greg i think scott is right on with this one. Ben, clearly says the "sub" is back, and that would make sense especially if they are underwater like Ben told jack when he opened the flood gate.
Im just puttin thoughts out there on it. Whos sub do you think it is, if not the Others?
Furthermore, we arent sure the baloon actually crashed there, the reason flight 815 crashed is unknown, maybe they hit the globe and that caused the crash, and third, desmond was unconscious when he arrived on the island, so we dont know that his boat arrived there "normally" or not.
After seeing that clip it started to make me think about how the "others" make decisions as a group and how Ben now seems to be the alpha male. Personally I think he just has short man complex but thats besides the point. If everyone can remember back to the first episode of this season; Juliet was standing outside with a book in her hand just after the plane broke apart above their heads, Ben looked at her and said "well I guess I’m out of the book club." It appears that the "others" do, or did, in fact have a group decision making process but Ben perhaps became too power hungry (again the short man complex) and wanted to take over. This could have caused Juliet (seemingly she is pretty high up in the "others" hierarchy) to start phasing him out of their discussions. I’m guessing that Juliet and Ben had a falling out, either relationship or friendship, and the "others" chose sides; Juliets side and Bens side. Thats why there appears to be nice (Juliets side) and mean (Bens side) "others". Perhaps Jack can convince Juliet that Ben is starting to become too power hungry and there will be a revolt against the "others". Good "others" and Losties VS Bad "others". Would be pretty interesting I think. What do ya’ll think? Think there’s anything solid behind my theory?
Now for the sub thing and the whole snow globe theory. Everyone needs to remember that it is a rare occassion when Lost is literal. Greg, do you remember the picture in the comic book Walt had in the 1st season showed a globed city protected from the lightning? That could have simply been a metaphor for the electromagnetic field surrounding the island; protecting the island perhaps. It doesn’t appear that the field is impenetrable, it just seems that it disrupts anything electical. Echo’s brothers plane crashed because it seemed that they lost control of the planes electrical system and Desmonds sail boat doesn’t require any electical equipment to sail. The balloon could have passed thru just as easily since it doesn’t require anything electrical. They all could have easily passed thru the electromagnetic field by accident. Now for flight 815, I think people are starting to forget the reason why the flight broke up in the first place. Desmond didn’t push the button in time which charged the electromagnetic field too much and brought the plane down. It didn’t necessarily have anything to do with the globe at all, just the electromagnetic field pulled it apart. Don’t call any theory preposterous because with this show anything could happen. Now maybe the sub is used to go under this globe or under the island perhaps, we don’t know. But I think the "situation" as Ben said is that Jack needs to operate on the "other" member Sun shot.
