An Interview with Henry Gale (Michael Emerson)

IGN has an interview with Lost’s Michael Emerson, better known as Henry Gale.

The only real interesting bit that pertains to Lost is:

IGN DVD: So do you think Henry Gale has a place to be redeemed this season?

Michael Emerson: Oh, yes. You mean will he rise in the sympathy system of the viewership? Yes, I think he will.

IGN: How so?

Emerson: I think not by changing his fundamental character by us perceiving him afresh by virtue of context or new circumstances. I think the more we see of what his day to day problems are, what his agenda is, the better we will like him. I’m not saying we’ll really, really like him.

  1. I love you Michael!!! You are cool!!! You‘re my favourite actor!
Alan Rickman too. Go on!! You will be best!

  2. Henry Gale is Dorothy’s uncle’s name in the Wizard of oz. And he ‘crashed’ fakely in his hot air balloon. Coincidence? I think not. lol

  3. Good find Allie, I did some looking and there are quite a few references to the Wizard of Oz.

Zeke was the name of one of the people working on the farm in Kansas, he turned out to be the cowardly lion.

The plane crash came from Australia abreviated Aus which sounds like OZ.

The map that locke saw on the wall is kind of similar to a map of oz

There were feet sticking out from under the house in the 1st episode of season 3.
