Just 1 thing tho that sort of confuses me is if the show is about them trying to find the gifted child .ie (walt). And it involves the others stealing babies like Claires and Rousseau, plus all the other children they hav …..and yet wen they finally get him they let him go …hmmm why
Plus everything leads back to greek mythology like the floating island (cant remember floating islands name)but all the darhma signs are all ancient greek aswell and now we see a 4 toed statue hmmm
Henry Gale says ‘we got more then we bargained for when Walt joined us… so I guess this is for the best’. This could mean that Walt was too powerful for the others and maybe realised that they could not control his power, maybe the realised that he would stand by his Father if there was ever a big attack so he would do more harm then good for them.
I haven’t checked out that Greek Mythology stuff for myself yet but… Wow it seems impressive, long posts are always welcome: p. Hell me and Jelly Man have done our fair share of them.
Theres only one thing, you say that Apollo is made up of the six stars, well on the invisible map that was drawn there were 8(including the question marked pearl hatch). Out of the 5 hatches found, three seem to match the stars, these are:
Cygnus – The Swan (Jack’ Hatch)
Sagita – The Arrow (Echo’s Hatch)
Ophiuchus – The Serpent Handler (Medical Hatch)
Also if u notice in ep 214 wen the timer counts out we see 5 hieroglyphics the first one to flip is Cygnus – The Swan (Jack’ Hatch), the second ?,the third Sagita – The Arrow (Echo’s Hatch), the fourth Ophiuchus – The Serpent Handler (Medical Hatch)and the fifth ?

Sorry, but what do you mean by ‘ wat are the 5 ‘? I presume you mean, now that we have three of the hatches out of the 8 I mentioned, what are the other 5… but I may be wrong.

By the way the hatch that I was looking for, I found later, it was the serpent and staff hatch (Medical Hatch). I got the idea of the 8 hatches and symbols from the map on the blast door that closed on Lock’s leg… I’m repeating this because I dont know how much you have read of my past posts.

DAN – Been thinking about wot u said bout how could two planes in such different places end up on the same island. I could only think of one thing and its very farfetched. As the plane was taking it from nigeria and it was being shot by those guys, maybe they damaged it, and so while it was flying it went off course and crash-landed on the island.

It is the last episode but it comes in two parts and you have only got part one. If you download part twop you will see what happens after sawyer says ‘what plan’

^^^^^ I cant remember exactly where we find out that Sun is pregnant but it is near the end of series two i think. You have to have seen most season 2 to find out that Sun is pregnant. So if you havnt seen that far then you havent missed, u just havnt seen it yet.
We find out when she takes pregnancy tests which they get from sawyer’s mdical stash (kate helps her). But we’re not sure if it is Jin’s baby or the guy who taught her english?? cos is sterile or something like that. But she did tell Jin that it was his. But we dont know for sure
hi just to answe your question about walt.. he was let go because he may have been axed from the show as he was ageing realy fast and the show lost was supposed to be in days and he was growing to fast for the show me thinks
That certainly is a possibility …. but i dont think that is why he has gone. Surely the lost produces would have thought about that when choosing the cast. I think he is going because they genuinly want him to go.

do you guys notice that in episode 21 when Locke and Eko find the other hatch, the video says that they must go to the Pala Ferry wich is gonna take them back to the barracks…in the last episode where the others took jack, kate sawyer and hurley itīs called Pala Ferry??
for the last post and others made by jelly man and box man. You might have hit on this earlier but I was going over this idea with a coworker at work the other day. Did any one ever think that there’s more then just the others? I think there’s Jacks crew, the Others, and one more set of Island goers why ?????? a trip back in time first season when our beloved losties find the film and projector in the hatch.
Hints film and projector this was the only and widely used media between the 40′s to mid 70′s. Just recently they find the pearl hatch were shortly after John and ecko find the orientation tape. Hints Tape(Vhs or Beta not sure) late 70′s to about 2000 that was the widely used format. Ok now saying all of that we don’t know how long the testing has been going on. Now heres the punch, I think that the dharma scientist were conducting test on people who fit the deception emotionally distressed (Hugo,Jack,Michel,Libby,Anna) sickness with no cure (Rose) crippled (john lock) and the list goes on etc. Theirs only one draw back to this amazing Island you get a foreign sickness, I think they couldn’t cure this disease,sickness what ever you might call it. The test subjects might have turned on them because of the sickness becoming more hostel and savage like people. Remember in the first season when they had to hide from the others with kids do you remember how filthy the lil kids feet and bear were ???? Tom,Henry,Bea and all the so called other are all clean dirty clothing (costumes fake beard and makeup products with dhrma labels but clean looking haircuts and shaved. I think the incident talked about on the film reel might have been a rebellion of the test subjects and they have senses then put in a set of military trained and protected scientist( just in case another incident occurs) to continue conducting test on subjects in the hatch and the Hostels as the american solider Calvin called them before he was killed by Desmond at lest we think. Sense the others appeared we have seen nothing but adults not one baby or little kid and a room fully decked out for a baby that was never used with a fishy mobile made of the airplanes which is the same airline that crashed on the Island ( an early clue for next season I’m guessing) Henry also said don’t worry were the good guys. Well who else is there Jacks tribe are like farm animals lets say cattle when a woman has a baby they take it away (shit Charlie and Russo stole Aaron ounces) they want people or test subject they write a list and someone rounds them up, jacks tribe are defenseless cattle they can’t can’t be the bad guys. Unless there is more Islanders theirs more signs that point to it but this is just my idea it’s not solid but please comment back and let me know what you think every one.
Desmond must have killed Calvin when he fell and bashed his head cos Calvin was about to leave on the boat and the boat was still there for Desmond to use in episode 23. Unless maybe Desmond moved and hid the boat or Calvin maybe joined the others or any other group of people thats maybe on the island. I woould really like to see an episode with Calvins story in it as it would be interesting to see why he is there after being in the army with sayid earlier. I think that he must be involved in future episodes

hi.. that last blog may back up my theory for the Biomagnetism.. it may be all the lost characters are just in the wrong place at the wrong time and stumbled upon this scientific research… or and about walt they let him go because he was growing one month every episode be the time all the series would off finished they should only off been on the island 150+ days and walt would off aged 7 yrs so they probably axed him from the show..
MR.ECKO.JR – Just want to say some brilliant ideas you have their and it’s a nice interpretation of lost so far. I do not agree with all of your ideas, but who knows they could all be true, thats the mystery and brilliance of this show!!! However I do think what your saying about another tribe or group of people is right. It does seem like there are two tribes of ‘others’, this could be the bad/evil ones (dirty, torn clothing) and the ‘good guys’. If this is true then I believe that the tail section of the plain may have come across the evil ones whilst in the jungle. I think they were originally attacked/ infiltrated by the good others but whilst in the jungle they were attacked by the evil others. This sounds very fishy at the moment and I am thinking as I type so have had no time to refine this theory.
The letters you spell out ‘S U R V I V O R C U I L T ‘ almost make Survivor Cult, which is what lost is turning out to be, with a cult following audience. And the obey thing, I noticed that as well, unless there just showing ‘psychological testing’ like subliminal messages. Or maybe they are subliminal messages. Food for thought. thanks guys for the feed back yeah its mostly speculation and there are sooooo many ideas or eggs they drop in the show, like for instance Box Man you put that post about Walt’s missing picture on the side of the milk carton. Hugo is drinking that milk in the hatch now that shows its season two and I haven’t gone back to check how long but it’s been over 45 days. Walts mother is dead, his stepfather obviously knew that some thing is strange about Walt and it spooks him, he practically begged Michael to take Walt off his hands. Michael is on the island with Walt. So who posted this missing person report.???? I think Its mind boggling, My-be Walt was already missing Michael doesn’t get out much in the US and he can’t really read Australian news paper because he wasn’t there for too long and the boy clamming to be walt might be a form or projection of Walt from some were else (they do run test on walt he says that him self, so it might not be true). does any one think his communicating with the out side world via computer or projection ?????? but wait…… theirs more another idea about Walt is this power it has an effects on animals (polar bear and rear bird smashes into window). could he use that power to harm another human unannounced and undeveloped in a fit of anger have killed his own mother. i was watching episode 2-15(where claire was looking for the injection for her baby) by the end of that episode sumthin i consider very strange happened..Mr. Eko went to "Henry" and made some sorta confession i dunno what is that supposed to mean? he was like " i want u to know that i regret killing the two men(they were 2 from the others), i want u to know that i’m really sorry." guys tell me what do u think?it sounds like Eko is one of the "good ones" just like Locke ?
^^^ for A man of faith. Yes of course Ecko is a ‘good one’, he’s a priest. I know that he became a priest through corrupt methods but he then found his faith. He killed two other people, and even though he was acting in self defense it is still a sin to him and would have felt very guilty. I think that Ecko presumed that Henry was an Other, hence why he would want to apologise for killing two of his friends.

MICHEL, about the rain stoppiing when Walt looks at it. I dont think its a coincidence. Walt has done things like that before, when he thinks of something it seems to happen. He is reading that book about the birds in his house and then one smashes against the window. And when he reads that magazine (with a polar bear in it) on the island, and then there are polar bears. He has powers that we cant yet explain.

How crazy is that! Those sneaky Lost producers, putting an ad in the real world for a company that only exists in Lost!!
So I think it must be a major clue as to what’s going on… and unfortunately I never made the connection earlier in the series. I have only just realised it was important, after seeing one of the last episodes of Series 2, where they show you a brochure for the Hanso Foundation, with Penelope’s father’s face on it!
I went to the Hanso Foundation website and it appears all vague and hippy-ish, like some kind of charity merged with scientific research merged with a cult. But then I went to the HansoCareers website and it does seem clear that the Hanso Foundation do weird experiments – one of the jobs they advertise on there says that if you have worked for anyone like Amnesty International or other human rights organisations before, you will be disqualified from applying.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Hanso are behind all this… but if they do anything to Jack, Kate and Sawyer, I will flip out!!! I can’t imagine Lost without those 3.

I hear the unpublished book that Sawyer was reading in season two before jack put it in the fire is being published or is published so you can get more info on the Hanso foundation and etc. I found fault with Dj Dans monster many years ago in the mid 90′s I visited a museum exhibit in florida about that vary same mammal which is as tall as most trees thus allowing them to eat fresh leaves from the top of smaller trees making them herbivores not carnivores. the pilot was rip from the cock pit by some thing else not this relative of the three toed tree sloths
Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but went onto the hanso foundation website and then in the projects selected Electromagnetic. Screen changes to show this wierd picture with X and Y coordinates and the caption "Early hours of October 62,9291." Date makes no sense but move the cursor and the coordinates change, make them equal 629 291 and the cursor changes, click this and a new window opens with a compass on it, move the cursor to 108 degrees and a load of wierd coordinates and some characters appear – what does all this mean?

just an observation…..desmond’s old partner in the hatch that he killed also appears in ‘episode 14 (one of them)’ as the head military guy making sayid torture his old mate…….
the same characters keep popin up everywhere if u go back and watch the old episodes in season 2 again. its gotta mean sumin, the way they have all had connections in the past, i gess it baks up the theory of colected concience.
oh yeh, and wen ana lucia and jack’s dad are in the car together, as jack’s dad opens the door, sawyer walks past and gets hit by it….. there is plenty more meetings of the characters….

I had thought, ever since I saw the episode where the black cloud approaches Mr Echo, that it was some form of technology, so this makes perfect sense to me.
To the person who asked, some time back, how the guy from the army who Sayed met, got to be on the island, well I would tend to think he was recurited by the Hanso Foundation after the Gulf War. If you check out the Hanso Careers website, it seems they would quite like someone like him!!

Just like to add my theories, Jack’s dad is dead as he i.d him in the morgue he’s not in the coffin as it fell of the plain the lid probably flew open and he fell out, calvin might be alive as desmond just took the key and legged it he never checked a pulse of anything, but it would be likely that if celvin was alive he would just take the boat and go, i think radzinski is an other as he knew the map of the island. I want to know way more about dark terriotory there are no others but the black smoke is there so obviously black smoke and others are not connected.
There was also a philospher named jon locke that wrote a book on purgatory, there were also 2 people called jon locke and russo who were sociologists and wrote stuff about sociology but its likely there just misleads.
Fantasic theory on the nanotechnology but desmond blew up the electromagnetic dam. So does that mean that the black smoke won’t be able move anymore.
you guys have kept me entertained on an other wise tedious monday. i’ll get to the point and say it how i basically see it.
first of all it has to be total bollox what that guy said about his friend who is part of the crew filming lost. partly because sawyer just can’t die. who will provide the nicknames if he does? plus he’s had far too much of a beating in two short seasons to go getting killed by hurley. besides, didn’t someone mention earlier that they were filming the second part of the season at a later date? which would rule out his idea that jack carries a dead kate back, and the seasons end. as for the desmond, locke and ecko scenario, i sincerely hope they are alive, as along with sawyer they are easily the best characters but i just don’t know. my most pessimistic thought is that they are dead (hence the quarantine hatch door landing a days walk from the hatch site), we’ll find out about locke’s disability in another characters flashbacks. i.e one of the extras who we may learn about in next season runs him over or something. maybe he had a spinal disease which jacks dad treated? badly? and i think jacks dad wasn’t in the coffin because it fell from 35 thousand feet! nothing sinister there.
when desmond turned the fail safe i think what it did was just release all the stored magnetic charge, at a cost of destroying the project completely. i remember him saying something about "purging the dam" this would then make way for new characters to arrive since the island is now visible.
The Others in my opinion are the dharma crew. something happened in the eighties (you see a year, 1980 in the corner of the projector screen at the end of the first orientation film, i think. memories not too great)and they may of had families with them? they would obviously of lost their way after this but kept the project alive since that was all they knew. (admittedly a weak theory but it’s all i can muster)

Right, first post here, so look out. I have a lot to say.
How’s this sit with everyone: The others are the forerunners for creating a new utopian society, in case of a worldwide social breakdown. Everything we know about the Dharma Foundation points to the fact that it was set up by two sociologists in order to study people. I’m pretty sure the orientation vidoes both mention the ‘betterment of society’ or something when they talk about Dharma and Hanso. They are taking the kids, because they can be most easily moulded into good people. And they are only looking amongst the adults for the ‘good ones’, lending further support to this theory. I believe the others are good people who believe that the ends justify the means, which is why they are able to kill people (or attempt to – Charlie) in the persuit of the greater good. I believe that they are hiding from the survivors in order to give the a ‘baptism of fire’, so to speak, in order to see if they are suitable to join their society. Live together, Die alone, right? The good people will be able to live together in harmony, and the bad ones will end up spearated from the group, and die.
Also, another theory is that the Others themselves are psychic. This is why they wanted Walt. This is how they know so much about the Castaways. I think the whispering in the forest is their attempt at psychic misdirection or warning. If you look, whenever they hear the whispering, they look where it is coming from, and get attacked from behind (Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley), or it is used to dissuade them from going in a cetain dierction (Sayid). It also explains the visions people have on the island, as well. This post is huge, so I’m going to break it down into two and post later, to give people a chance to respond to this lot.

One more thing; we can’t rely on anything that happened in the part with the milk carton and Walt’s face, because there were anumber of things weird there. Jin spoke english, Hurley spoke Korean, and some guy in a Mr. Clucks’ suit showed up. Hurley was dreaming people. The Missing Picture for Walt was just part of it.

If you think back Shannon kept on seeing Walt while he was captured by the ‘others’ so maybe he can be in 2 places, maybe the ‘others’ new this and made him do it as part of a plan they had.
Also if this is true that might not be the real walt that sailed off in the boat with his dad it could be a trap or it could a be a part of getting henry back.

The thing about Walt & Michael in the boat, I think they are going to be rescued, you know they are not (much) in season 3. Another possibility is that they die, the boat explodes or something. Henry wouldn’t give these coordinates if it was for nothing, y’all remember he’s ‘One of the good guys’, and besides, Michael freed him! To do something back Henry would give the good info.

^^^For ladean: Yeah, I think it was Walt. I think Walt’s psychic powers include being able to project an image of himself that can interact with people on a very basic level. He was also able to communicate with Michael through the Hatch computer, remember? This is why I think the Others are psychic too. They knew Walt was psychic, and that’s why they wanted him, but they didn’t know just how powerful he was. That is what makes henry say that they ‘got more than they bargained for with Walt.’
^^^For Teun: I think that what happens is the boat is out of fuel. The others give them just enough to get out of sight of the island, and the boat conks out. They might be men of their word, but michael didn’t ask for anything more than the boat and Walt. Why would the others give him anything more? They’re not really big on helping out.

Ive read an interview with the guy who plays michael on http://www.digitalspy.com saying that he spent his summer tryin to learn how to swim because the beginning of season 3 the boat blows up (probably a trap set by the hostiles) so he and walt are in crisis, in water! ive also read abc are casting three new roles, 2 females, one in her twenties, one in her thirties, and one latino male in his twenties, could this be a sign of another crash? or possibly more survivors from the original plane who have as yet not been discovered by the losties?
Just a thing here: Those guys in the last episode were Brazilians, they were speaking portuguese but not the portuguese from Portugal, they were speaking Brazilian portuguese and not french or russian. The thing is, what the heck do they have with the whole LOST…answers in the 3rd season.

Good idea however it is wrong. before henry choked ana lucia he said that Goodwin(the spy in the tailies camp)said that she could change.meaning he is from the same group as goodwin, meaning that there are only one group of others.
do we know how locke lost the use of his legs. in the walkabout place he called it his ‘condition’ which makes it sound more natural, but maybe it was those mobsters after his father.

Ive probably got it completely wrong,i think its the ep the other 48 days when it shows u whats been going on with the tail section ,they decide to go to the other side of the island and walk over what seems like the same rocks calvin got "killed"on..Then later in the series its one of the last few eps wen u see desmounds flashbacks ,after he wacks calvins head on a rock he runs bk to the hatch to press the button…..yep ive got it wrong thats the same day as the plain crash not the day he finds kate and locke Sorry!but i still think calvin is alive !(dam it i thought i was on to something)
